1 – Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signs bill creating new election police unit
Fox News reports: Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill Monday to create a police force dedicated to cracking down on voter fraud and other election crimes.

The new law, S.B. 524, creates an “Office of Election Crimes and Security” to investigate allegations of voter fraud. It increases the penalty for ballot harvesting from a first-degree misdemeanor to a third-degree felony, punishable by up to five years in prison. It also requires the Florida Department of State to strengthen ID requirements for mail-in ballots, requires voter rolls to be checked every year for ineligible voters and prevents election supervisors from receiving so-called “Zuckerbucks.”

The term “Zuckerbucks” refers to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s funding of election operations. During the 2020 election cycle, the Zuckerberg-Chan Initiative, founded by Zuckerberg and his wife, gave more than $350 million to local state jurisdictions to allegedly help counties run their elections safely during the COVID-19 pandemic.

2 – Elon Musk sends first tweet after buying Twitter
The Independent Reports: Elon Musk has sent his first tweet after reaching an agreement to buy Twitter for around $44bn.

The company’s new owner posted the phrase “Yes!!!” surrounded by red hearts, shooting stars and rocket ship emojis, above his statement on the deal.

“Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated,” Mr Musk said in the company statement announcing the deal on Monday.

Earlier the company had announced that it had accepted the Tesla CEO’s offer of $54.20 cash per share for the San Francisco-based platform, which will now be taken private.

3 – Trump-Appointed Judge Announces He Will Block Biden from Ending Title 42 at Border
Breitbart reports: A federal judge in Louisiana, appointed by former President Donald Trump, is expected to block President Joe Biden’s plans to end the Title 42 public health authority at the United States-Mexico border.

Weeks ago, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that on May 23 the Biden administration would end Title 42. The authority was first issued by Trump in 2020 and has allowed federal immigration officials to quickly return illegal aliens to their native countries after having crossed the southern border.

Soon after the announcement, Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich, Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, and Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt filed a lawsuit arguing that ending Title 42 will place an undue burden on their states and that the administration violated the Administrative Procedure Act (APA) in doing so.

On Monday, Judge Robert R. Summerhays granted a temporary restraining order that is likely to prevent Biden from ending Title 42 while the case makes its way through federal court.

4 – Russia is at WAR with NATO and there is now a real chance the conflict will turn NUCLEAR, Kremlin foreign minister Sergei Lavrov warns
The Daily Mail reports: Russia’s top diplomat has warned that NATO is now fighting a proxy war with Russia in Ukraine and there is a ‘very serious’ risk the conflict could turn nuclear.

Sergei Lavrov, speaking on Russian state TV last night, accused western leaders of risking a third world war by supplying heavy weapons to Ukraine with the goal of ‘wearing down the Russian army’ – an aim he described as an ‘illusion’.

Accusing NATO and its allies of attempting to bully Russia on the international stage, Lavrov said that tensions between east and west are now worse than during the Cuban missile crisis at the height of the Cold War.

Asked directly about the possibility of a nuclear war, he replied: ‘The risks are very significant. I do not want the danger to be artificially inflated [but] it is serious, real. It cannot be underestimated.’

Lavrov also repeated warnings that shipments of western weapons into Ukraine will be considered legitimate targets by Russia – a day after missiles struck the country’s train network in an apparent attempt to stop the deliveries.

DML: There’s your bully – not only is Russia demolishing Ukraine, but they’re threatening anyone who tries to stop them.

5 – Reporter Asks Psaki If The White House Feels Responsible For National Guardsman’s Death
The Daily Caller reports: A reporter asked White House press secretary Jen Psaki Monday whether the Biden administration feels any responsibility for the death of a national guard soldier at the border.

“Well, of course we are mourning the loss of his life and we are grateful for the work of every national guardsmen. I would note that the national guard work for the states, so he is an employee of the Texas National Guard and his efforts and his operation were directed by there, not by the federal government in this effort.” Psaki said.

Texas Army National Guard Specialist Bishop E. Evans, 22, who was assigned to the U.S.-Mexico border as part of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s Operation Lone Star, lost his life while saving the lives of two migrants, who were later said to be part of a drug trafficking operation, that appeared to be drowning, according to the Texas Military Department (TMD).

“Does the White House feel any responsibility for his death, given that there’s reporting that he lost his life allegedly trying to save two migrants who were smuggling drugs. This is a problem that the administration has been facing for sometime and has … been getting some criticism on. Does the White House feel at all responsible? And what more can you offer to people who are on the border, in border communities who are experiencing loss and trials like this,” Fox News’ Jacqui Heinrich asked Psaki.

    How awful she says the guardsman worked for the state.
    I can’t imagine how the guardsman’s family feels. May he Rest In Peace!

  5. Wouldn’t it have been smarter to throw their chemicals from the rear instead of the front where they have to drive through the cloud of chemicals. It looks like they are just creating more harm to the citizens.
    Hopefully we will have free speech again.
    Musk and DeSantis are American heroes.
    Of course the Federal government is responsible for the young guardsman’s death. If they hadn’t opened the border for all these immigrants the National Guard wouldn’t have to be their. Prayers for that young man and his family.

  6. If the feeds were doing the right thing the borders would not be bulging with illegals needing assistance. Those drug smugglers should have drowned, not Bishop Evans. The feds were ultimately responsible.

  7. Psaki has no heart or soul for true Americans. Until something like this hits her on a personal level she may not understand. Then again heartless cold things like her could care less, she has young children who knows what they’ll get into as the age, I mean look at Hunter !!! I’m sure he’s met them by now … UGH !!!

    I was just telling my son, each state needs to take care of business! Of course we need more governors who have the will and common sense to deal with the issues.

So, Russia keep on invading other countries to warn other countries not to intervene or risk a nuclear war? Putin is becoming Hitler looking for living spaces.
