1 – BREAKING: Biden administration to tap oil reserves in bid to tamp down rising gas prices
NBC News reports: The Biden administration is releasing oil from the nation’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve in an effort to address rising gas prices ahead of the holiday season, the White House said in a statement Tuesday.

As part of the move, the Department of Energy will make available 50 million barrels of oil to lower prices and address the mismatch between consumer demand and supply amid the pandemic, the White House said.

The decision was made jointly with other major energy consuming countries — including India, Japan and South Korea — to curb increasing energy prices after oil-rich nations rejected repeated calls to increase production as the global economy rebounds from the pandemic and fuel demands rise.

“The increase in gas prices has occurred because global oil supply has not kept pace with global oil demand as the economy has recovered from the pandemic and as countries and companies have held back on supplying oil, and because the declines in oil prices that we have seen have not translated into lower prices at the pump,” a senior administration official said in a call with reporters. “The president is taking action on both fronts and is committed to using every tool as needed.”

DML: Biden should have left everything the way Trump had it. He’s made a MAJOR MESS!

2 – Kamala Harris calls for health care workforce that ‘looks like America’
Fox News reports: Vice President Kamala Harris on Monday called for a health care workforce that “looks like America” and asserted that the COVID-19 pandemic has exposed the systemic inequities in the health care system.

Harris announced the Biden administration will be investing $1.5 billion from the COVID-19 relief package to tackle the shortage of health care workers in high-risk and underserved communities.

“Our nation must invest in a health care workforce that looks like America, and provide access to equitable health care for all Americans,” Harris said.

The funding will go to the National Health Service Corps and Nurse Corps, as well as the Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery programs, all of which offer scholarships and loan repayments for health care students and workers if they pledge to work in underserved and high-risk communities.

“Our administration’s goal here is to address the urgent shortage of doctors, nurses and behavioral health providers in both urban and rural areas,” said Harris.

DML: Well, there they go, now trying to make our healthcare system racist. Harris, here’s a message for you: The healthcare workforce ALREADY DOES LOOK LIKE AMERICA!

3 – 91 House Dems call on Senate to expand immigration protections in Biden spending bill
The Hill reports: Nearly half of all House Democrats on Monday called on their Senate colleagues to augment the immigration protections in the House-passed Build Back Better (BBB) Act before the upper chamber votes on it.

In a letter led by Democratic Reps. Jesús García (Ill.), Lou Correa (Calif.), Adriano Espaillat (N.Y.), Grace Meng (N.Y.) and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.), the members urged Senate leaders to reinstate a pathway to citizenship in the Senate version of President Biden’s signature social spending and climate bill.

“The House version of the BBB Act limits relief for certain undocumented individuals to a five-year parole status, yet another form of temporary reprieve. We now write to urge you and the rest of our colleagues in the Senate to reinstate a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, TPS [temporary protected status] holders, farm workers, and essential workers in the Senate’s version of the reconciliation bill,” wrote the lawmakers.

García, Correa and Espaillat were dubbed “the three amigos” for their push to include a pathway to citizenship in the House version of the nearly $2 trillion spending bill.

Ultimately, the House-passed version included a parole option, which would grant 6.5 million foreign nationals a temporary parole status that would grant them five-year work and travel permits but not permanent residency, the first path toward citizenship.

“Though this bill delivers urgently needed relief to undocumented immigrants, it falls short of the pathway to citizenship that I’ve been fighting for and that immigrants deserve,” said García.

DML: Dems want open borders and citizenship for all. Selling out our country!

4 – Missouri school district backtracks ban on LGBTQ+ books
The Hill reports: A Missouri school district on Monday said it would return two books exploring LGBTQ+ themes to its high school libraries following public outcry.

The North Kansas City School district announced its plans to reshelve “All Boys Aren’t Blue” and “Fun Home” in a letter to students’ families on Friday, according to the Associated Press, which obtained a copy of the letter on Monday through a district spokeswoman.

Both books were pulled from library shelves following a school board meeting in October, when parents complained they were inappropriate and sexually explicit.

The American Civil Liberties Union of Missouri on Monday issued a warning to the school district for removing the books, claiming the decision violated students’ First Amendment rights and demanded they be returned to libraries no later than 10 p.m. on Monday.

DML: Sickening. We have to stop letting ACLU call the shots!

5 – Psaki attacks DeSantis over Disney ending its vaccine mandate
Fox News reports: White House press secretary Jen Psaki indicated the decision of Disney World to halt its employee vaccine mandate showed how Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis takes “steps backward” when it comes to fighting the pandemic.

“They’re based in Florida, and obviously the governor there has consistently taken steps to take steps backwards as it relates to fighting the pandemic, not forward,” Psaki responded Monday when asked aboard Air Force one what more the White House could do after companies such as Disney decided to do away with their vaccine mandates for employees after a stay of President Biden’s workplace vaccine mandate was issued in federal court last week.

Psaki’s comments come after DeSantis signed four bills last week requiring private employers to allow vaccine exemptions, including but not limited to health or religious concerns, pregnancy or anticipated future pregnancy and past recovery from COVID-19.

“Nobody should lose their job due to heavy-handed COVID mandates, and we had a responsibility to protect the livelihoods of the people of Florida,” DeSantis said of the legislation.

Walt Disney World announced on Saturday that it was pausing its COVID-19 vaccine mandate in response to the new law.

DML: No, Psaki, DeSantis is NOT taking steps backward. He’s the one with enough common sense to take steps FORWARD!

  1. Bidumass wants all these snowflakes to believe it is a supply chain problem au contre. It because that dumbass shutdown all our self sufficient means! Pipelines etc.

  2. When you see everything that’s happening, it’s hard not to feel down and worried. The media is digusting and so are Biden and Harris. I feel like I can’t wake up from the nightmare. So sad to see this happen to our great country. I miss Trump everyday. How much more are they going to destroy? God help us! Thanks Dennis for these podcasts.

  3. This illegally installed regime needs to go back to crawling under a rock. It’s shameful that Harris tries to claim America’s healthcare workers are not “looking like Americans”…where does she get this BS?? I heard another report today that they will send in FEMA workers into the hospitals to take over nursing/doctor & other duties when the employees are forced to quit because of the vax mandates…only, FEMA are NOT required to get the vax…how is that for in-your-face.?! As for ILLEGALS getting amnesty “because they deserve it”…what do I deserve as a law-abiding born & bred American?? If I snuck into Disneyland & got caught & kicked out, does that mean my kids would get to stay cuz it wasn’t their fault I cheated to get in??!! Get real!!!
