1 – BREAKING: Chernobyl cut off the grid by Russians, sparking fears of radioactive contamination from cooling nuclear fuel
Fox News reports: The Chernobyl plant in Ukraine is disconnected from the grid due to damage inflicted by Russian occupying forces, sparking concerns of radioactive contamination if the cooling of spent nuclear fuel stops.

The 750 kV Chernobyl-Kyiv high-voltage line is currently disconnected “due to damage by the occupiers,” Energoatom, or the state-run National Nuclear Energy Generating Company of Ukraine, said Wednesday. The Chernobyl station and all nuclear facilities of the Exclusion Zone are without electricity.

The regulator explained that there are about 20,000 spent fuel assemblies stored at the facility that require constant cooling. Without electricity to cool the pumps, the temperature in the holding pools will increase, prompting the release of radioactive substances into the environment.

2 – Harris heads to Poland amid turbulence over jets for Ukraine
The Associated Press reports: Vice President Kamala Harris’ trip to Warsaw to thank Poland for taking in hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians fleeing Russia’s invasion took an unexpected turn before she even left Washington. She’ll be parachuting into the middle of unexpected diplomatic turbulence over fighter jets.

The Polish government on Tuesday came out with a plan to transfer its Russian-made fighter planes to a U.S. military base in Germany, with the expectation that the planes would then be handed over to Ukrainian pilots trying to fend off Russian forces. In turn, the U.S. would supply Poland with U.S.-made jets with “corresponding capabilities.”

But the Poles didn’t run that idea past the Biden administration before going public with it, and the Pentagon quickly dismissed the idea as not tenable. Warplanes flying from a U.S. and NATO base into airspace contested with Russia would raise the risk of the war expanding beyond Ukraine.

Harris is expected to continue talks with the Poles about getting fighter jets to the Ukrainians during her visit to Warsaw, according to a senior administration official who previewed the trip on the condition of anonymity. The matter remains a priority to the Biden administration, the official added.

3 – China hacked at least six state governments in last year, cyber firm says
The Hill reports: China hacked at least six state governments in the U.S. in the past year, Mandiant, a private security firm, said in a report Tuesday.

The hacking group, APT41, is believed to have worked with China to hack the six state governments, exploiting unknown vulnerabilities in the governments’ systems, The Associated Press reported.

One vulnerability that was present in 18 states’ animal health management agencies was an unknown flawed commercial web application. Another unknown weakness was a software flaw, called Log4j, that the hackers used to get into government websites several times, according to the AP.

Rufus Brown, a senior threat analyst at the firm, said the hackers’ “persistence to gain access into government networks, exemplified by re-compromising previous victims and targeting multiple agencies within the same state, (shows) that whatever they are after it is important.”

4 – Illegal Alien Gets Four Life Sentences for Murdering Four Americans
Breitbart reports: An illegal alien who pleaded guilty to murdering four Americans in Nevada in 2019 has received four life sentences.

Wilbur Ernesto Martinez-Guzman, a 20-year-old illegal alien from El Salvador, was charged with murdering 56-year-old Connie Koontz, 74-year-old Sophia Renken, 81-year-old Gerald David, and his 80-year-old wife, Sharon David, between January 10 and 15 after prosecutors said he was looking to steal money from his victims to buy more meth.

Though the state of Nevada had sought the death penalty against Martinez-Guzman, his defense argued that he was “mentally disabled” and thus ineligible for the death penalty.

In November 2021, Martinez-Guzman finalized his guilty pleas. Late last week, sentencing wrapped up for Martinez-Guzman and he was given four life sentences without the possibility of parole as well as 214 years in prison.

5 – CNN Reporter Claims People Are ‘Okay’ With High Gas Prices As Long As Putin Is ‘Held Accountable’
The Daily Caller reports: CNN Business and Politics correspondent Vanessa Yurkevich said Tuesday that people are “okay” with paying high gas prices if it “holds Russia accountable.”

“If you look at it globally, if the European Union decides to do something similar as to what President Biden is going to be doing in his announcement,” she told CNN’s Kate Bolduan. “Stopping all Russian imports and energy into the country. That could have a significant ripple effect on the global energy market, then pushing prices here at home at the pump a lot higher. People we’ve spoken to over the last couple weeks, they’re okay with paying higher prices if it means holding Russia accountable for what they are doing in Ukraine.”

Yurkevich said gas prices are likely going to surge higher with the Tuesday ban on all new imports of Russian oil and gas. The cost of gas recently exceeded $4 per gallon, the highest recorded price ever recorded in the U.S.

DML: What insanity. If Trump was still the president, we wouldn’t have EITHER problem – now we’re supposed to be thankful for one problem in order to address another?

  1. Maybe they’ll lose Kamala over there, never to be seen again. Or maybe they can house her with the refugees…you know, get first hand experience.

  2. So even without nukes, Europe and the world will eat radiation poisoning? How nice?!
Probably won’t see Harris again, part of the”plan”?
Of course China is hacking the USA. They are trying to take it over. They have infiltrated every aspect of this nation. They own property, lend money to USA, make everything we use, own half the stores, how many politicians do they own? Not counting Biden?

  3. Sending Harris over there will just reinforce the fact we have a crippled and corrupt leadership that cannot, not will not, cannot solve this challenge, full frontal assault on the world. Barbara is right “send in the clowns”! Our so called main stream media is controlling the information not the least of the fact biological warfare research facilities are in danger of being compromised by the Russians. Misinformation in the media, lies, deflecting for the price of gas trying to blame that on Russia is a weapon so that Biden and the whole network of globalists can bring us into this dangerous game as combatants. This is an attempt to make him and company look like heroes and to bring the world to it’s knees. Do not believe anything, it’s time to look after our own interests, watch what China is doing, maybe planning an invasion to control all computer chips. We need to drill here, despite what the crazy’s think, first order of operation, to help our financial and job situation; address inflation. Why listen to people who are determined to destroy us? For no reason other than globalization and power!

  4. We don’t want to go to war with Russia because they will threaten to use nukes. With that line of thinking, Russia is now free to attack whom ever crosses them. Just threaten nuclear war and the rest of the world will back off.

  6. Vice President Kamala Harris’ trip to Warsaw took an unexpected turn before she even left Washington.
(🎼Here she comes to save the day!🎶)
She’ll be parachuting into the middle of unexpected diplomatic turbulence? 🤔
She better pack her own chute. 😉
Me thinks this is Hilary’s idea. ☠️

  7. I don’t know anyone who is thrilled to pay more for gas to help the war. This really didn’t need to happen over a war if we’d kept producing, but now, guess what, the oil companies are resistant to increasing production because they are making money again! Imagine that. Greed over survival. Many people can’t meet their expenses because of fuel costs and grocery prices. Budgets are blown up and we’re headed for a Venezuela repeat here in the states if something is doesn’t soon!
