1 – How Obama’s controversial exchange is coming back to haunt US on a global scale
Fox News reports: Four out of five Guantanamo detainees whom former President Barack Obama released in exchange for former U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl in 2014 now hold senior positions in the interim government created by the Taliban in Afghanistan.

According to the Afghan television network TOLOnews, the Taliban-formed government gave leadership positions to Khairullah Khairkhwa, Norullah Noori, Abdul Haq Wasiq, and Mohammad Fazl; all of whom were released in a 2014 deal between the Obama administration and the Taliban to free Bergdahl, whom the Taliban had held as a prisoner since 2009.

On Tuesday, the Taliban announced that Khairkhwa would serve as acting minister for information and culture, Noori would serve as acting minister of borders and tribal affairs, Wasiq would serve as acting director of intelligence, and Fazl would serve as deputy defense minister.

DML: Obama sold out America.

2 – U.S. Army Base hit by case of measles amid Afghan refugee resettlement effort
Fox News reports: Fort McCoy Army Base in Wisconsin identified a case of the measles this week as it brings in thousands of Afghan refugees as part of the mass evacuation effort in the wake of the Taliban takeover of Kabul.

An internal government email, viewed by Fox News, said that the base confirmed a case of the measles on Sunday. “All those who had been in contact with the infected person at base have been isolated, and post-exposure prophylaxis and inoculations are in process,” the notice said.

Separately, a senior U.S. government official confirmed to Fox News that officials identified a single measles case as part of what they called a robust health screening process.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) describes measles as a “highly contagious” virus that can be spread by coughing, sneezing, and by people breathing contaminated air or touching infected surfaces and then their faces. It says that the virus is so contagious that if one person has it, up to 90% of the people close to that person who are not immune will also be infected, and that the virus can live for up to two hours in an airspace even after an infected person leaves the area.

According to the CDC, Afghanistan has the seventh highest number of measles cases in the world.

DML: And this is just the start of it. Biden bringing in disease and terror, while Americans get shoved to the side.

3 – Texas students file civil rights complaint over long-time beloved school song
The Texas Tribune reports: The Texas chapter of the NAACP, along with the civil rights organization’s University of Texas at Austin chapter and a group of anonymous students, has filed a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights alleging UT-Austin is creating a “hostile environment” for Black students by continuing to play the “The Eyes of Texas” alma mater song at university events.

The complaint, filed Friday morning, alleges that Black students have been denied full benefits of Longhorn student life because the song is an official part of the university, “despite its racially offensive origin, context and meaning.” The song premiered at a minstrel show in the early 1900s where students likely wore blackface. Despite pushback, university officials have said they are going to keep the song as their alma mater, concluding in a report issued earlier this year that the song “had no racist intent.”

The complaint, provided to The Texas Tribune by the filers, says the university has failed to respond to racial harassment against Black students and others who oppose the song, violating Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and argues the university’s decision to create a separate marching band for students who do not want to play “The Eyes of Texas” violates equal protections afforded under the Fourteenth Amendment.

This past spring, the UT-Austin Butler School of Music announced the creation of a new band in which students would not be required to play the song after members of the Longhorn Band refused to play it last fall due to its history and origins. Students in the Longhorn band are required to play the song.

  1. here’s a thought-if you don’t like it don’t participate don’t go to school there! how hard is that if you don’t like tv or radio you change the channel or turn it off! stfu and get a life! it’s all about causing trouble and 15 min of fame 😤😤😤

  2. I take offense to all RAP that includes cop killing, rape, women degrading, etc. All this is allowed but other music not….stand up America they are doing everything to take us down! 🇺🇸♥️🙏

  3. Sing it loud and sing it proud. If they won’t play music sing it anyway. No way they can shut an entire stadium up. If people don’t like school song maybe find another school.

  4. I take offense to the movie A Raisin In The Sun.
I can’t enjoy a box of Sunmaid raisins or a bowl of Raisin Bran.
I keeping thinking it’s little black people that’s been dried out and boxed.
I’ve have PTSD each time I’m in the grocery store. That movie and Sidney Portia need to be removed from the entertainment field. Just writing about this is very upsetting to me. I know I’m not the only one that has the same experience.
    Fact Check that.

  5. Black americans have turned the music business into an orgy of sex, drugs, violence and abuse of women and especially underage girls. They sing about hate all day long and a university song is racist? How many universities does the black music industry support, forget university, let’s start with ‘day care’ or early education in black neighborhoods.

  6. How asinine. The song has two sentences! ! And the words have nothing to do with race. They made you your own marching band so you don’t have to play it. But that’s not enough for you is it. You’re not being denied your equal protection rights. Funny none of you care what other constitution laws are broken. If people would get their rears back to work they wouldn’t have the time to sit around and think this crap up. They assume people wore black face. People get stupider by the hour. Don’t back down Texas

  7. “Four out of five Guantanamo detainees whom former President Barack Obama released in exchange for former U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl in 2014 now hold senior positions in the interim government created by the Taliban in Afghanistan.”
It’s getting harder and harder to not believe the “conspiracy theories” that have been going around … like the ones who claim there is no way this could not have been intentional on Hussein’s behalf.

  8. As this administration tears into the very heart of our great country, they have no concern for the majority of people who like things traditional. They believe if it offends anyone it should be taken away from everyone. Well there are a lot of things that offend me but I still believe in freedom of choice. If you don’t like something don’t do it, don’t try to take it away from the people who do. And as for Hussein obama he never loved this country. He needs to pack his racist self up and his boyfriend Micheal and move to a communist country. As well as the rest of these race baiters and hate mongers. I for one won’t bat an eye, might even do a little dance to celebrate.
