  2. Back in the 90s I helped my wife campaign for and win election to an unpaid seat on our local school board in Bucks County PA. She had a degree in English education and won on the slogan, “Kids First.” Eventually she became president of the board during a time when meetings were often crowded with angry parents who were unhappy with raising school taxes necessary to reopen a second high school that had previously been closed and rented for 10 years. Our school district was bursting at the seams with well over one thousand students in every grade level. Apart from cost, the quality of education provided was never an issue. Everyone wanted the very best for all Neshaminy District students. I dare say, not a single person in attendance of those sometimes heated school board meetings ever imagined the FBI might one day get involved. Listening to this podcast, all I could think about was how drastically education has changed in America from the “Kids First” years of which I was fortunate to be a part. Thank you for giving Tiffany Justice a voice on your show.

  3. The school closures was a blessing and a curse. A blessing because parents actually got a first hand look at what was being taught, a curse because actual learning took a hit, as well as mental wellness.
