1 – China calls for end of sanctions against Russia, and ceasefire in Ukraine
The Washington Post reports: China on Friday called for an end to unilateral sanctions and other economic “weapons” targeting Russia, as part of a new diplomatic push to defend Beijing’s position on the war in Ukraine.
The 12-point proposal about how to end the conflict was issued by the Chinese Foreign Ministry on the first anniversary of Russia’s invasion and mostly rehashed long-standing positions. But it reflects a newly proactive stance as Chinese diplomats try to show that they are working toward a political settlement and rebuff concern that they may soon provide direct support for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s war effort.
The document reflected China’s belief that the United States and European allies need to ease pressure on Russia to “prevent the crisis from deteriorating further” and create conditions for negotiations to resume.
It also warned against attacks on nuclear power plants and civilians, as well as repeating China’s opposition to the threat or use of nuclear weapons.

ANNETA G: Today is the one-year anniversary since Russia launched its disgusting attack on Ukraine. If Trump was in the Oval Office, I have no doubt it would have never even happened. Now we’ve got weak Magoo in the White House, we’ve spent BILLIONS on Ukraine, and CHINA is presenting the “peace deal.” Unbelievable.
2 – U.S. could face possible weapons shortage as it continues to supply military aid to Ukraine, war game shows
CBS News reports: With the war in Ukraine entering its second year — and the U.S. continuing to provide the embattled country with military aid in the form of rockets, guns and ammunition — the Pentagon is stepping up production of critically-needed supplies.
“For a couple of key items, the stockpile is getting low,” retired Marine Col. Mark Cancian, with the Center for Strategic International Studies (CSIS), told CBS News.
Cancian said Ukraine’s use of artillery shells far outstrips the Pentagon’s capacity to make them.
“They’re using about as much in a month as we produced in the year,” Cancian said.
And with the U.S. struggling to keep Ukraine supplied in its fight against a decrepit Russian military, there is concern about what could happen if the U.S. were to become involved in a conflict with China. CSIS recently conducted a war game that showed that the U.S. would run out of a key weapon — Long Range Anti Ship Missiles (LRASM) — while trying to stop a Chinese invasion of Taiwan.
ANNETA G: This retired Marine officer must have been listening to the Dennis Michael Lynch Podcast. This is EXACTLY what DML has been warning about.
3 – Karine Jean-Pierre makes major blunder, forgets who is the president
The Washington Examiner reports: White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre mistakenly called President Joe Biden “President Obama” during a press briefing Thursday.
Jean-Pierre was discussing Biden nominating Ajay Banga as the president of the World Bank earlier Thursday when she erroneously announced Obama had made the nomination before quickly correcting herself.
“Okay, so today, as you all saw just an hour or so ago, President Obama announced that — um, pardon me, President Biden. Woah! That is news,” she said. “I know. I know. We’re going back, not forwards. We got to go forward.”
Jean-Pierre previously worked in the Obama administration in the White House Office of Political Affairs, and she also served in Obama’s 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns.

4 – Underground Network Has Shipped 20,000 Abortion Pills Across U.S.
Breitbart reports: In the sixth months following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, an “underground abortion pill network” shipped at least 20,000 packs of abortion pills across the United States, “two sources with knowledge of the situation” told VICE News.
According to the Thursday report:
The suppliers of these estimated 20,000 packets are neither abortion clinics nor abortion telehealth organizations, but instead operate outside of the U.S. legal health care system. The demand for their pills, as well as their success at shipping them out undetected, are evidence of the thriving underground abortion network that has sprung up since Roe’s demise devastated access to abortion clinics.
Christie Pitney, a licensed nurse practitioner, a midwife with Forward Midfwery, and co-founder of Abortion Freedom Fund told the outlet that self-managed abortions are “just going to grow more and more” as Republican led states pass laws protecting unborn babies from the violence of abortion. Pitney reportedly works with Aid Access, an organization that mails pills to pro-abortion states, “and to states where it is not, through a doctor who is based overseas.”
Pitney, who said she legally provides abortion pills to people in two states, estimated she used to give pills to roughly 60 people each month, and now “helps” hundreds per month.
It’s evidence of the thriving underground abortion network that has sprung up since Roe was overturned, devastating access to abortion clinics. https://t.co/al0Lna6XEd

5 – University Of Michigan Head Football Coach Jim Harbaugh Comes To Officer’s Aid, Helps Clear Tree Out Of Road
The Daily Caller reports: A superstar college football coach helped an Ann Arbor police officer clear a downed tree from a roadway Wednesday.
The University of Michigan Head Football Coach Jim Harbaugh pulled up next to the officer as he was attempting to clear the road, according to a tweet by the Ann Arbor Police Department. The tree went down after an ice storm hit the area.
On 2/22/23 at approximately 8pm in the middle of the ice storm Ofc Howard Cooper was at Devonshire and Londonderry to remove a large tree that was blocking the road when a van pulled up. The driver then parked and got out of the vehicle. (1/3) pic.twitter.com/FxG3s9t0P7

After about ten minutes they were able to, inch by inch, get the entire tree moved to clear a lane for traffic to pass through. We thank Coach Harbaugh for being a valued member of the Ann Arbor community and helping out Ofc Cooper. (3/3)
