1. The left is starting to realize AOC is just a performance artist
NY Post— The knives are out on the woke left this week as one of its most prominent divas is catching shade from a bold new up and comer.

The delicious drama pits Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez against state Sen. Jessica Ramos. The sniping began when a medical student took to Twitter to condemn members of AOC’s staff who skipped a meeting with prominent medical academics with a dismissive, “we’re not doing healthcare right now.” AOC dutifully apologized, saying that the missed meeting did not represent her or her values.

“Maybe if you spent more time in your office and with your team you’d know what goes on. Just saying it would be nice if you breathed our air,” Ramos jabbed. “Our district offices are on the same floor in the same building. She’s barely ever present in the community. It’s an indisputable fact.”

This wasn’t a gentle gibe meant to correct AOC’s course — it was a political body slam. And an impressive display of the very Twitter snark Ocasio-Cortez is known for. But as shocking as the insults were, they didn’t exactly come out of the blue. Back in April, AOC was shunned by organizers who unionized an Amazon distribution center on Staten Island. They claimed the champion of labor and socialism had “left them high and dry” during their fight. This just a couple of years after the progressive Queen of Queens was key to killing a deal with that same Amazon that would have brought thousands of jobs to her district.

The medical student who “kicked off the kerfuffle” added a second tweet that said, “So while she’s doing performative resistance art for the cameras she’s not doing healthcare right now.”

He was referring to AOC’s heavily mocked “arrest” performance in which she held her hands behind her back as if she was in handcuffs as she was led away from a protest.

My Thoughts: Maybe if AOC spent more time educating herself and less time with her head shoved in the liberal void, she’d come down off her high horse and do something worthwhile. That’s also a fact.

2. Jill Biden’s press secretary to leave White House

Fox News— First lady Dr. Jill Biden’s press secretary will depart the White House in the coming days.

Michael LaRosa has served as Dr. Biden’s press secretary since President Biden began his 2020 campaign. News of LaRosa’s departure was first reported by CNN.

“For nearly three years, from the campaign to the White House, Michael has brought an encyclopedic knowledge of politics and media to my team as my spokesperson and adviser,” Dr. Biden told CNN in a statement.

“On a small team, loyalty and friendship are lifelong — we will miss Michael. However, we are excited for him to begin a new chapter in his career,” the statement continued.

My Thoughts: AND sing it with me: “Another one bites the dust!” It must be humiliating to work for such a miserable, failing administration, especially when it’s your job to make it seem like everything is fine and dandy. He’s skipping his way to that new opportunity, guaranteed.

3. ‘The amount of attention on me has gone supernova’: Elon Musk bemoans reports that he had an affair with friend Sergey Brin’s wife and says he will ‘try my best to be heads down focused on doing useful things for civilization’

Daily Mail— Elon Musk continued to show aggravation with The Wall Street Journal’s investigations editor on Monday, tweeting that he’s trying to avoid the ‘supernova’ level of attention on him in the wake of rumors he slept with the co-founder of Google’s wife.

Musk, 51, tweeted a photo of himself partying with Sergey Brin on Sunday in an effort to disprove the newspaper’s bombshell claim that he slept with Brin’s wife, Nicole, and that it served as a catalyst for their divorce.

Replying to Investigations Editor Michael Siconolfi, Musk shared the photo and long with pants and fire emojis in a playful reference to the childish saying ‘liar, liar, pants on fire.’

The billionaire Tesla CEO continued to bemoan the coverage Monday evening, tweeting: ‘The amount of attention on me has gone supernova, which super sucks. Unfortunately, even trivial articles about me generate a lot of clicks.’

My Thoughts: Two things. 1) Just because they hang out now doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. 2) It probably didn’t happen.

4. Biden administration redefines ‘recession’ ahead of possibly damaging GDP report

Washington Examiner— President Joe Biden and some of his top administration officials, including Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and National Economic Council Director Brian Deese, have spent recent days attempting damage control ahead of what could be another negative economic report.

In particular, officials are stressing to the public that though the coming report will likely show that gross domestic product shrank for the second consecutive quarter, the United States is not really entering a recession. Officials say prolonged COVID-19 factors, coupled with the war in Ukraine , have muddied economic projections and claim that assessing the speed of the post-pandemic economic recovery means examining a variety of economic signals, not just total GDP.

“We’re not going to be in a recession, in my view,” Biden himself told reporters Monday. “The unemployment rate is still one of the lowest we’ve had in history. It’s in the 3.6 area. We still find ourselves with people investing. My hope is we go from this rapid growth to a steady growth, and so we’ll see some coming down, but I don’t think we’re going to, God willing. I don’t think we’re going to see a recession.”

Deese said in multiple interviews on Monday that the country has never experienced a recession without massive, nationwide job loss. The president has frequently pointed to the millions of jobs created since he entered office in January 2021 as a sign of U.S. economic strength, even in the face of historic inflation and worsening public sentiment.

“Never in the history of our country have we had a recession where the economy was creating jobs, period, let alone creating 400,000 jobs,” Deese told CNN. “Certainly, in terms of the technical definition, it’s not a recession.”

“We face an economy with very significant global challenges,” Deese added to Bloomberg. “Our focus is on what we can do on policy to try to address those challenges — and how to then try to increase the prospects that we can move through the process, this period of uncertainty, to a period of more stable, steady growth.”

“Historic inflation, a declining labor force, cratering financial markets, and record-low consumer confidence only bolster recession indications,” Alfredo Ortiz, president and CEO of the Job Creators Network. “No matter how the administration tries to slice it, the economy is in recession, and the Biden administration only has itself to blame. No wonder it’s trying so hard to redefine what a recession is.”

My Thoughts: They think we’re all stupid. We aren’t. But however you define recession, Americans have ZERO confidence in this economy and most of us have ZERO confidence in this president. Also, this guy might give you a chuckle:

5. What to eat to keep your gut healthy on holiday! DR MEGAN ROSSI reveals changes in bowel habits are a common complaint for travellers

Daily Mail— Who doesn’t need a holiday, right? But in the excitement to get away from it all, sometimes we can forget to take good care of ourselves — including our gut — and this can be the very thing that undermines our break.

To “keep your gut in the best possible shape for travel” Rossi recommends “taking a probiotic supplement (specifically, 500mg of Saccharomyces Boulardii CNCM I-745, available in health food stores and supermarkets)” a week before and during your trip. She alternatively suggests “building a diverse … community of gut microbes through diet” by eating “30 or more different types of plants — from veg and fruit to wholegrains, legumes, nuts, seeds, herbs and spices — a week, for at least four weeks leading up to your holiday.”

Also, the night before travel, avoid big meals, and 24 to 48 hours before flying, cut down on foods that make you gassy like wheat, barley and rye-based foods, some sugars and fruits, beans, and vegetables like broccoli and garlic. Find food swaps at

My Thoughts: Whether you’re flying away or staying in, its a good idea to keep your immune system as healthy as it can be, too! With that said, here’s an offer from DML:
