1 – ‘Squad’ Members Call on Biden To Declare Public Health Emergency in Wake of Roe Ruling
The Free Beacon reports: A coalition of 20 black congresswomen, led by “Squad” member Ayanna Pressley (D., Mass.), on Thursday wrote a letter to President Joe Biden that urged him to declare a public health emergency in anticipation of a Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

The Court on Friday overturned the seminal 1973 abortion-rights decision.

The congresswomen urged the president to use “any and all executive authorities” to work against the Court’s decision—including “declaring a public health emergency and national emergency.”

The Court’s decision does not prohibit abortion but rather returns the issue to the states, a majority of which allow the procedure. Just 5 percent of Americans consider abortion the most important issue facing the country, Gallup reported last month.

The letter says that pro-life measures are “unprecedented and calculated attacks on our bodily autonomy” that harm “the lives and freedom of Black women.” While black women get more abortions than women of any other race, just 32 percent of black Americans support abortion on demand without restrictions, a Gallup poll found in 2020.

2 – Tesla to pay workers’ abortion travel costs after moving HQ to Texas
The New York Post reports: Tesla has committed to covering travel-related expenses for employees who are forced to go out of state to have an abortion after Elon Musk’s electric car outfit recently relocated to Texas, where the governor has vowed to outlaw the procedure.

Musk has been hailed by conservatives for his pledge to acquire Twitter and alter its content moderation policies as well as his stated desire to vote for Republican candidates, though his car maker’s abortion-friendly policy flies in the face of his rightward turn.

The Supreme Court on Friday overturned Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 ruling which legalized abortion nationwide.

The controversial ruling comes weeks after the online news site Politico published a leaked draft of the decision — which prompted outrage from abortion rights advocates.

In the days following the Politico scoop, Tesla was among several companies to announce that it would extend additional medical benefits to workers who are forced to travel out of state to seek an abortion.

MY TAKE: So far, Musk has not tweeted a word about today’s Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade.  All these corporations going woke are only helping to divide America.

3 – Former US Military Pilot Admits He Spied For China, Sold US Secrets
The Daily Caller reports: A former U.S. Army helicopter pilot admitted to serving as a paid agent of the Chinese government, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Thursday.

Shapour Moinian pleaded guilty to making false statements during security background checks and also admitted to accepting payment in exchange for passing aviation secrets obtained from his defense contractor employer to Chinese agents, the DOJ announcement stated. Moinian now faces 15 years in prison and a fine up to $500,000 for his crimes at his August 29 sentencing.

“The Army is tasked with the great responsibility of protecting our nation from its adversaries and soldiers make incredible sacrifices in service to that responsibility,” Heather J. Hagan, U.S. Army spokeswoman, told The Daily Caller News Foundation. “When any soldier among our ranks, or former soldier, colludes to provide classified information to our foreign adversaries they betray the oaths they swore to their country and duty owed to their fellow soldiers.”

After serving in the U.S. Army between 1977 and 2000, Moinian worked for the Department of Defense and various defense contractors, according to the DOJ announcement. While holding a security clearance, Moinian accepted a consulting position in China’s aviation industry in 2015, after being contacted by a Chinese agent who posed as a job recruiter online, according to the complaint.

Thereafter, Moinian traveled to China and other Asian countries to meet the Chinese agent between 2017 and 2019, the announcement stated. During these meetings, Moinian agreed to provide the Chinese agent with “information and materials related to multiple types of aircraft designed and/or manufactured in the United States in exchange for money.”

MY TAKE: Nothing to see here folks, just move along. Biden told us China was not our enemy, but just our competitor, remember?  Meanwhile, holy smokes… WATCH THIS:

  4. According to Ayanna Presley “Overturning Roe v. Wade would be a direct assault on Black lives.”
    Nothing is a greater assault on black lives than abortion. Planned Parenthood is located in minority communities for a reason. Do they not understand that people are actually assaulted and killed during an abortion?

    When the Pro-Abortionists riot,burn,asult law enforcement etc.
    I mean that they do not demand justice for their crimes that they are going to surely commit

    Where was their outrage last summer when BLM rioted, looted, and burned court houses overturned Police cars

  6. The Dems are concerned that more black women get abortion? What about the blacks killing the blacks? That’s a big problem right now that the Dems don’t seem to care about! Get your priorities in order!!!!!!

  7. I am not buying anything from all these companies at all because they are causing all these abortions and pay them to travel to other states so they can kill the babies. They aught to be happy that their mother didn’t kill them and all these who want to kill their babies are not going to heaven when they die. They can all go to hell and stay away from the churches
