1 – Elon Musk hints at support for new 2024 presidential candidate
Fox Business reports: Billionaire Twitter CEO Elon Musk hinted at his support for newly announced 2024 presidential candidate Sen. Tim Scott on Monday.

Scott, a Republican from South Carolina, announced his candidacy at a Monday event, and his office tweeted out a live stream, saying, “Let’s go!” Musk retweeted the announcement video from his own personal account, though he did not formally endorse Scott.

Scott is the latest candidate to join the growing Republican field, and more players are expected to enter the race. Currently leading the pack is former President Donald Trump, followed by former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and former Vice President Mike Pence are also widely expected to enter the race.

2 – NAACP President Ignores Stats On Florida When Confronted By CNN Host
The Daily Caller reports: The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) President Derrick Johnson rebuffed a CNN anchor who listed statistics about Florida being a good state for minority business owners Monday.

The NAACP issued a travel warning for Florida on Saturday, claiming the state “devalues and marginalizes” issues facing “communities of color.”

“Florida is openly hostile toward African Americans, people of color and LGBTQ+ individuals,” the NAACP said. “Before traveling to Florida, please understand that the state of Florida devalues and marginalizes the contributions of and the challenges faced by African Americans and other communities of color.”

CNN’s Sara Sidner then listed statistics showing minority-owned businesses in Florida do overwhelmingly well in the sunshine state compared to others.

Johnson claimed in another interview, “If we don’t stop [Republicans like DeSantis], we will not have an American that’s recognizable five years from now.”

ANNETA G: The NAACP is looking VERY foolish over this stunt.  Just how has DeSantis ever “devalued” communities of color?  This is NUTS!

3 – Biden again makes bizarre claim son Beau died ‘in Iraq’ to Marines — not from brain cancer
The New York Post reports: President Biden told US forces stationed in Japan that his son Beau perished in the Iraq War, a video obtained exclusively by The Post reveals — after the president stoked questions about his own mental acuity by making the same incorrect claim at least twice last year.

“My son was a major in the US Army. We lost him in Iraq,” the 80-year-old president said during an informal visit with troops at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni Thursday.

The traveling press corps, which has faced repeated access issues while covering the nation’s oldest-ever president, was kept far enough away that the remarks were inaudible.

The White House press office did not put out an official transcript, almost allowing the error to escape public notice.

ANNETA G: If Biden can’t even remember how or where his son died, how in the world is he capable of being the President of the United States?  He’s NOT!

4 – Carroll seeks to amend suit to include new Trump remarks
The Washington Examiner reports: Lawyers for E. Jean Carroll filed a motion Monday to amend her lawsuit against former President Donald Trump to include comments he made during a CNN town hall after the ruling in her other lawsuit against him.

Trump called Carroll a “whack job” and denied the allegations that he sexually abused her in a dressing room of a Bergdorf Goodman department store in New York in the mid-1990s. His comments came while speaking at a CNN town hall the day after he was found liable for sexual abuse and defamation in a separate defamation lawsuit filed by Carroll.

“I have no idea who this woman is. This is a fake story, a made-up story. We had a horrible Clinton-appointed judge. He was horrible. He allowed her to put everything in. He allowed us to put nothing in. This is a fake story,” Trump told Kaitlan Collins on CNN earlier this month.

In the amended complaint Carroll’s lawyers filed on Monday, her lawyers argue that Trump used his time on CNN to “demean and mock Carroll.”

“These and other similar messages are exactly what Trump intended. Trump used a national platform to demean and mock Carroll. He egged on a laughing audience as he made light of his violent sexual assault, called Carroll names, implied that Carroll was asking to be assaulted, and dismissed the jury’s verdict vindicating Carroll,” the filing said.

ANNETA G: I agree with Trump – this woman is a whack job!  

5 – Tampa Pride Festival Canceled After Florida Cuts Off Access to Children
Breitbart reports: The Tampa Pride on the River event has been canceled due to the series of anti-groomer bills passed by the Florida legislature and signed into law by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), which in part imposes penalties on establishments that expose children to sexually explicit drag shows and similar adult performances.

DeSantis recently signed a series of anti-groomer legislation designed to protect children from the radical left’s woke gender agenda, which includes pushing transgender ideology and gender confusion on minors. One of the pieces of legislation signed is titled the “Protection of Children,” or HB 1438, which imposes fines on establishments that allow children to attend sexually explicit adult shows, such as drag shows.

“We’re going to hold you accountable. … When you have adult entertainment, you have these sexually explicit performances, there should not be any of these kids there. And this is going to make sure that that’s the case,” DeSantis said ahead of signing the bill into law.

As a result, Tampa Pride President Carrie West recently told outlets that their festival has been canceled, apologizing for the series of events that led to that decision, as there would be drag queens performing at the public event, which children would be easily exposed to as last year’s event occurred along the river walk. As a result, participating businesses could face penalties.

“Lot of famous Ru Paul drag queens that come in for the event,” West said, according to WFLA. “People come flying in for that event just to see the famous drag queens.”

ANNETA G: So, they don’t even want to have their drag event if they can’t have children there…. that tells you all you need to know!

  3. Really wish DML would stop slobbering over Musk. Elon is lefty grifter, end of story. While we’re at it- Tim Scott is a RINO. Look at his voting record before going full re-re over Tim.
