The stories below are concerning the upcoming election. I share my thoughts on each story.
1-AOC says Rep. Ilhan Omar facing tough primary challenge because she’s ‘damn effective’
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., argued that fellow “Squad” member Rep. Ilhan Omar is facing a competitive primary challenge because she is “damn effective” against big money interests.
The freshman Democrat from Minnesota is facing a primary challenge from Antone Melton-Meaux, a Black Minneapolis lawyer who labels himself a “progressive, lifelong Democrat.” Melton-Meaux nearly doubled Omar in campaign funding, reporting $2 million in his campaign coffers at the end of June, as opposed to Omar’s $1.1 million cash on hand.
In a live-streamed “day of action” Sunday, Ocasio-Cortez admitted it was unusual to have such a well-funded primary in a heavily blue district such as Omar’s.
She said funders “usually like to get a bang for their buck” and typically contribute to races that have a chance of tipping a seat from one party to the other.
DML: AOC can’t find her buttock with both hands, she knows nothing. Omar is struggling because she is an Anti-American radical Muslim who is as dirty and crooked as the Clintons. The wicked woman of Minnesota will be ousted, or so I pray.
2- Biden’s wife vows for her man
Presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden is “close” to making a decision on a running mate, the former vice president’s wife told Fox News today.
Jill Biden also said her husband will share the debate stage with President Trump this fall, shrugging off suggestions by former Clinton White House press secretary Joe Lockhart and others that Joe Biden skip the events.
“Oh yes he will [debate],” Jill Biden responded. “I think it’s three debates that they decided on so yeah, he’ll be there.”
DML: We ran a poll today asking if Biden would chicken out. The results can be seen by clicking here.
3-Facebook removes Trump ad
A pro-Trump ad was removed from Facebook after claims that it contained false information, Fox News has learned.
America First Action PAC on Tuesday told Fox News that Facebook removed one of its ads, titled “On Hold,” which was placed in Arizona, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin on July 24. The ad was flagged by Politifact on July 29, according to the PAC.
“Facebook’s decision to take down this ad shows its anti-conservative bias,” America First Communications Director Kelly Sadler told Fox News. “America First Action has logged an appeal, but the threat of anti-conservative bias, targeting, and censorship remains ahead of Election Day in November and we must be vigilant in holding big tech, like Facebook accountable.”
The ad in question was titled “On Hold,” and shows a woman calling 9-1-1 and being put on hold. The ad moves to show Democratic nominee former Vice President Joe Biden saying “yes,” with a “defund the police?” banner.
The ad is currently marked on Facebook with a label saying: “False Information. Checked by independent fact-checkers.”
DML: The fact checkers are biased. We were flagged for fake news by an ex-CNN producer who is now in the business of checking fake news stories for Facebook. Problem is the story we posted was not fake, it was extremely accurate. I was told to appeal the decision by Facebook. They wanted me to go direct to the ex-CNN producer. No thanks, I would rather chew on glass.
4- Gallup poll shows America’s dislike for the media
A new poll released on Tuesday shows Americans have a growing distrust of the media, with an overwhelming majority saying the press have a political bias and nearly half saying news outlets display a “great deal” of bias.
The study from Gallup and the Knight Foundation shows that a whopping 86 percent of Americans believe media outlets lean one way or another politically, with 49 percent saying there’s “a great deal” of bias while 37 percent say “a fair amount.”
A majority of Americans, 56 percent, say their go-to news source has some form of “bias,” with 20 percent acknowledging a “great deal” of bias at their preferred outlet while 36 percent saying “a fair amount” of bias is present.
Those polled, however, have a greater concern about the bias of other media outlets, with 69 percent of respondents saying they worry about news sources that aren’t their own. By contrast, just 29 percent worry about the bias at their top choice for news.
DML: You can’t trust the media. Bottom line case closed. That’s why you need me. Join TeamDML.com and get the truth every day, download the DML APP from the IOS Store or the Google Play store for free.
5-Trump getting ripped for HBO interview
The president has been taking fire over his appearance on the HBO show hosted by AXIOS, the far left news outlet with a millennial style delivery. Check out an excerpt in this embedded tweet.
I’d highly encourage everyone with HBO to watch this interview because…wow. This is the most embarrassing interview of Trump’s entire term. It’s a declining ignoramus flailing as the interviewer calmly skewers him on every topic. pic.twitter.com/FSRW4MGPmG
— Hutch (@hutchinson) August 4, 2020
DML: I will never understand why Trump does these interviews. He is going to be edited poorly, and the folks at AXIOS do not pretend to be supportive — they hate Trump and his politics. Trump should keep doing friendly interviews in my opinion.
MY PARTING WORDS: I launched the 2020 version of the Walk & Talk today. It was 4 years ago this week that I started the original Walk & Talk. It was August, I had just been pulled from LIVE TV for banging hard on Hillary Clinton. NewsmaxTV owner Chris Ruddy didn’t like my commentary, and I have to believe that some of his rationale hinges on his 7-figure donation to the Clinton Foundation. Either way, the Walk & Talk was a huge hit months before the election and I think we played a role in getting Trump elected. I plan to do it again every day from now until the election. I need your shares. Our facts and insight will lure the Independents into giving Trump 4 more years. Here is today’s version…
