Today is July 7 and I am Dennis Michael Lynch. Below are my opinions on the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room, in my opinion. And don’t forget to download the free DML App from the Google Play or Apple App Store to remain connected to me throughout the day.

1- State demands all schools open in August
Fox News reports that the Florida Department of Education issued an emergency order on Monday mandating that all of its schools must reopen for the fall semester, following months of closure due to the coronavirus.

The order, signed by Commissioner of Education Richard Corcoran, addresses all school boards and charter school governing boards. It says that all “brick and mortar schools” must reopen beginning in August at least five days per week and that they must follow the guidelines as set by the Florida Department of Health.

The department’s order further requires all schools that accept state scholarship money to submit a reopening plan that satisfies the state’s requirements. The order from the Florida Department of Education follows President Trump’s tweet earlier in that day that, “SCHOOLS MUST OPEN IN THE FALL!!!”

DML: Finally, a state with common sense.  Our kids bear more risk staying home and becoming couch potatoes who fall in line like sheep no matter what they are told by the government.

2- Trump hater De Niro benefited from PPP
CNBC reports that the Nobu group of luxury sushi restaurants and hotels took 14 loans from the U.S. small business relief program for as much as $28 million, according to government filings.

The chain, founded by actor Robert De Niro, celebrity chef Nobuyuki “Nobu” Matsuhisa and film producer Meir Teper, got funding for properties scattered across the country, from California to Texas and New York, according to data released Monday.

DML: Meanwhile, every anti-Trump news outlet this morning is making it sound like Trump donors took all the money.  It’s just not true.   De Niro, like all the anti-Trumpers, is a two-faced, money grabbing loser.  The man cannot put together a full sentence without looking and sounding like a complete moron, but he sure can grab free money when it’s available from the president.  If you have two minutes to spare, listen to this recent interview where he slams Trump, but cannot remember why he is slamming him.  Or be smart and save yourself the headache.

3- Tik Tok app on the brink of being banned from US
(Reuters) – Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Monday that the United States is “certainly looking at” banning Chinese social media apps, including TikTok, suggesting it shared information with the Chinese government, a charge it denied.

“I don’t want to get out in front of the President (Donald Trump), but it’s something we’re looking at,” Pompeo said in an interview with Fox News.

U.S. lawmakers have raised national security concerns over TikTok’s handling of user data, saying they were worried about Chinese laws requiring domestic companies “to support and cooperate with intelligence work controlled by the Chinese Communist Party.”

DML: Damn yes!  I say take it a step further and ban all Chinese from entering the US indefinitely.  It’s time to hunker down and disconnect from the global mess the Bush family put us into.

4- Johnny Depp takes the witness stand

LONDON (AP) — Johnny Depp gave evidence in a London court on Tuesday, denying claims that he hit ex-wife Amber Heard and accusing her of assaulting him and depicting him as a “monster.”

Depp sat in the witness box in a wood-paneled High Court courtroom on the first day of his libel case against The Sun over an article that branded him a “wife-beater.” The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star began by taking the court oath and giving his full name: John Christopher Depp II.

Depp is suing the tabloid’s publisher, News Group Newspapers, and its executive editor, Dan Wootton, over an 2018 story alleging he was violent and abusive to then-wife Amber Heard. Depp strongly denies the claim. Depp said Heard had “said to the world that she was in fear of her life from me, and I had been this horrible monster if you will. Which was not the case.”

DML: Hollywierd, love it or hate it the point here is that Depp was the target of the media’s desire to get involved into cases where they have no business and to destroy people with overblown headlines.  I hope he wins and The Sun gets pushed into bankrupt status.

5-Health expert  says Americans may be wearing masks for years
The ugly outlook for COVID-19 includes a face covering for years. This appears to be the impression given by Eric Toner, a senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security. He has been preparing for an outbreak like the novel coronavirus as part of his work for years.

“There’s going to be no summertime lull with a big wave in the fall,” he said as part of CNET’s Hacking the Apocalypse series. “It’s clear that we are having a significant resurgence of cases in the summer, and they’ll get bigger. And it’ll keep going until we lock things down again.”

He concluded, “I think that mask wearing and some degree of social distancing, we will be living with — hopefully living with happily — for several years,” he said. “It’s actually pretty straightforward. If we cover our faces, and both you and anyone you’re interacting with are wearing a mask, the risk of transmission goes way down.”

DML: I bet this guy is another lab chasing loner like Dr. Fauci.  These clowns have no clue about what they are talking about, it’s all speculation and fear mongering in my opinion.  People spread colds and flu all the time, and we don’t shut down the country or wear a mask.  We really need better leadership both in government positions and in the health industry.  Meanwhile, when will all these brainiacs tout the immune system?  Answer is they won’t do it. Why? Because they can’t make money off healthy people, and nobody makes “series” or “films” about people being healthy.  The sky if falling sells, and the narrative control freaks LOVE this crap.

DAILY DEAL: Today, like every day, I offer great deals on, whether you want to improve sleep, diminish body pain, curb anxiety, or boost the immune system.  Be smart. Take advantage of our summer discounts.  Check it out now

  1. So about Johnny Depp … loved him in Jump Street. But since he took on the greasy unkept look it makes in look sleazy and untrustworthy. Just my opinion.
