NEWS ALERT: 1,500 Migrants Cross into Texas Border Town in 6 Hours

EAGLE PASS, Texas — More than 1,500 migrants crossed the border from Mexico into Eagle Pass during the first six hours of Monday morning, according to a source with CBP. This shatters a record for the small Texas border town established last Friday when 1,300 migrants crossed the border in a single day.

Multiple sources within CBP told Breitbart Texas that the 1,500 border crossers apprehended in Eagle Pass this morning forced the shutdown of the local migrant processing center. The shelter, designed to hold about 1,000 migrants, had already tripled its capacity, with more than 3,000 migrants being detained on Friday. Officials are now preparing to hold the migrants outdoors and leadership is attempting to make plans for the overwhelming border surge.

As Breitbart Texas arrived on scene Monday morning, agents had approximately 800 migrants in detention under the El Camino Real International Bridge. It is not known what, if any, plans Border Patrol management has to deal with these rapidly increasing numbers of migrants.

Breitbart’s Randy Clark announced Monday morning, “Up early! Border got slammed in Eagle Pass. An estimated 1,200 still on Mexican side being held back by military. Gonna be a heck of a day here for our Border Patrol agents. They are scrambling to deal with this mess.”

Fox News reporter Griff Jenkins announced Monday that, according to CBP sources, there were more than 20,000 encounters at the SW border from Friday through Sunday.

Trending Politics co-owner Collin Rugg shared a video on Monday and wrote:

JUST IN: Over 2,000 illegals stormed the southern border last night, making it one of the largest mass crossings in history in Eagle Pass, Texas according to Fox’s @BillMelugin_

$100B+ to Ukraine but a wall is too expensive! Instead of tackling the issue head on, some Democrats are pushing to raise taxes to “solve” the migrant crisis. New York Democrats, who are at the point of no return with the crisis, say it’s time to raise taxes to help the migrants.

“I’d say that even if our city and state hadn’t seen an increase in migrants seeking asylum, this moment makes it all the more important for the wealthy to pay their fair share of taxes,” said state Senator Julia Salazar. Biden… missing in action as always.

Fox News reporter Bill Melugin  announced Monday morning: “BREAKING: One of the largest mass illegal crossings we have ever seen took place in Eagle Pass, TX this morning, w/ Border Patrol sources telling us over 2,200 people crossed there since midnight. It happened right next to the port of entry, as illegal immigrants continue to ignore Biden admin messaging of “do not come”, & do not fear the promised “consequences” for crossing illegally. Videos from source in MX & our FOX drone team on US side.”

On Saturday, Melugin shared a video of illegal aliens, including children, crawling under the razor wire, and noted that TX DPS troopers had to cut the wire for them.

Last week in the same area, Melugin shared a video and explained, “NEW: Our drone team in Eagle Pass witnessed a group of illegal immigrants cross the river, get through razor wire, walk past TX National Guard vehicles, then run off into the brush without apprehension, likely becoming gotaways. There have been at least 1.5 million known gotaways since President Biden took office. That’s enough to fill up 16 Rose Bowls.”

“Our drone team witnessing more broad daylight illegal crossings into Eagle Pass, TX this afternoon. Sadly, a 10-year-old boy drowned here while crossing with his mom yesterday. He’s one of countless who have drowned here over past couple years, w/ little to no attention,” Melugin wrote in another post.

Last Friday, Melugin added, “More illegal crossings in Eagle Pass, TX this afternoon captured by our fantastic FOX drone team. The Biden admin promised consequences for those who cross illegally after the end of T42, but it has become apparent most migrants don’t fear those consequences & expect to be released.”
