The parents of the suspect in the deadly Michigan school shooting are missing after they were charged with involuntary manslaughter, law enforcement said Friday.

The lawyer to Jennifer and James Crumbley, the parents of shooting suspect Ethan Crumbley, informed authorities they have not returned calls as detectives were instructed to find them after Oakland County prosecutor Karen McDonald announced the charges, Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard told CNN.

The article goes on to state the following:

“Given that their attorney said they would handle this if charges were issued, and now they’re not responding to the attorney, certainly is indicative [of] their intent to flee, which is something we plan to stop very shortly,” he said, adding that it’s unlikely they are armed.

Oakland County Undersheriff Mike McCabe said Friday, “Their attorney had assured us that if a decision was made to charge them, she would produce them for arrest.”

According to The Detroit News, the agreement made by their lawyer, Shannon Smith, was arranged sometime Friday morning.

McCabe continued, “We didn’t even know they had been charged with anything until we were informed this morning by the media.”

According to Fox2, there is a statewide BOLO “Be on the Lookout” alert issued for the couple.

The Recount tweeted Friday, “The Crumbley’s appear to be missing after being charged with involuntary manslaughter, per Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard.”

“Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard says the FBI is now involved in the search for Jennifer and James Crumbley, parents of the Michigan school shooter.”

CBS News correspondent Nancy Chen tweeted, “BREAKING: Sheriff’s detectives say they are looking for ‘fugitive parents’ of Ethan Crumbley, the accused Oxford High School shooter. Jennifer and James Crumbley are charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter. May be driving black Kia SUV: DQG 5203.”

  1. The Wisconsin SUV murderer was released TONS of times before that senseless tragedy now all of a sudden law and order is important ?? Oh wait they’re NOT black is that it ?? Well with all the defund bs i hooe they are caught .

  2. So Balwin shoots 2 people almost point blank and hes free as a bird to travel and everywhere but the 2 that didn’t have a finger on the trigger and are just the parents now wanted for involuntary manslaughter. 2 different states but come on man.

  3. I don’t condone any of this, however the black school shooter in Texas was home the same evening for a party in his honor. I will never, ever accept a single argument about white supremacy or reparations or any of that BS. NONE of those arguments have ever been valid and they still aren’t today.
