Trump-backed Republicans have completed a sweep of Louisiana’s statewide elections with victories in Saturday’s races for attorney general, secretary of state, and state treasurer — a month after Attorney General Jeff Landry (R-LA) won the governorship in a jungle primary.

Louisiana Solicitor General Liz Murrill (R), First Assistant Secretary of State Nancy Landry (R), and former U.S. Rep. John Fleming (R-LA) all received former President Donald Trump’s backing on Thursday and went on to 30-point victories in their respective races Saturday.

Trump called the candidates “outstanding in every way” and shared they have his “complete and total endorsement.”

On Thursday, the Republican Party in Louisiana announced:

President Donald J. Trump has just announced his endorsements for Louisiana Attorney General, State Treasurer, and Secretary of State.

“Our Republican Nominees, Liz Murrill for Attorney General, John Fleming for Treasurer, and Nancy Landry for Secretary of State, are outstanding in every way and have my complete and total endorsement.

With my strong endorsement, Jeff Landry made history by flipping the seat of Louisiana’s 2-term Democrat governor without a runoff— Jeff will be a great governor!

We need Republican leadership in the great state of Louisiana, so please get out and vote Republican on Saturday!”

Not only did all three Republicans win their elections, but they each won by a massive landslide.

Liz Murrill beat her Democrat opponent by nearly 33 points in the race for state attorney general, raking in 66.4% of the vote, compared to 33.6% for the Democrat candidate.

Nancy Landry won her race for the Secretary of State position by 33 points over her Democrat rival, earning 66.8%, compared to 33.2% for the Democrat candidate.

And John Fleming, who served as a senior adviser to Trump in 2020, soared to victory in a 30-point lead over his Democrat opponent for the State Treasurer position, winning with 65% of the vote, compared to 35% for the Democrat candidate.

Axios explained that the massive GOP victory came despite that there are more registered Democrats in Louisiana than Republicans. But many people simply did not even vote.

Many voters sat this one out. The unofficial voter turnout was about 22% statewide, according to the Secretary of State’s office.

Of the 3 million voters statewide who were qualified to vote Saturday, about 39% are Democrats while 34% are Republicans.

In another major win for Republicans in Louisiana, Republican challenger Jacob Braud flipped the House’s 105th district seat after getting 56% of the vote to defeat Democratic incumbent Mack Cormier, Axios reported.

Republican Governor-Elect Jeff Landry wrote, “Congratulations to @LizMurrillforAG, @NancyLandry, John Fleming, and everyone who won their race tonight. I look forward to working with all of you to give Louisiana a government as good as its people!”
