President Biden and first lady Jill Biden said they will spend Thanksgiving at the Nantucket home of a private-equity billionaire.

In a statement to reporters, the White House said, “The First Family will stay at the home of their friend, David Rubenstein, as they have done previously.” The buyout tycoon’s Nantucket spread spans 13 acres and is worth a reported $20 million.

The article goes on to state the following:

Rubenstein, who is worth $4.6 billion, according to a Forbes estimate, co-founded private-equity behemoth The Carlyle Group. The Washington-based firm, which boasts $293 billion in assets, is known for its leveraged buyouts and investments that have included Dunkin’, Oriental Trading and Hertz.

Biden tweeted on Wednesday, “For all those concerns a few weeks ago that there would not be ample food available for Thanksgiving, families can rest easy today. Grocery stores are well-stocked with turkey and everything else you need.”

GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy blasted Biden, tweeting, “While you are in Nantucket, enjoying your meals at a billionaire’s compound, here are the prices that Americans are paying for their Thanksgiving dinner—the most expensive one in history.”

The House Judiciary GOP Twitter account wrote, “Do you think Joe Biden is eating lobster this Thanksgiving while he vacations in Nantucket Probably. Does he care that your groceries are more expensive? Probably not.”

“Biden is partying in a sprawling $30 million Nantucket estate this weekend, but he thinks Americans struggling to afford food need “perspective,”” tweeted RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel.

“Joe Biden is enjoying his Thanksgiving at a billionaire’s home in Nantucket. Regular America? Enjoy the expensive gas and groceries!” added the House Judiciary GOP.

“So much for “middle class Joe”,” tweeted ACT For America’s Brigitte Gabriel.

  1. Only after getting his photo op in a soup kitchen. Such a phony. I’m sure he wouldn’t want to break bread with some poor deplorable or even sit with them. 😡

  2. Perhaps biden can squeeze in a visit to the Nantucket homeless shelter to see if everyone there is pleasant and happy. It would be a good media message before heading back to the $30 million compound complete with walls and gates. Perhaps they can invite 75-100 illegal aliens for dinner and drinks.
