An Illinois Democrat has been blasted for describing the deadly Christmas parade rampage in Wisconsin as “karma” for the acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse.

Mary Lemanski, who is listed as the social media director for the Democratic Party in DuPage County, began her heartless online tirade by snarkily dismissing the tragedy as “just self-defense.”

The article goes on to state the following:

“It was probably just self-defense,” Lemanski wrote in a tweet that appears to have since been deleted, according to Fox News.“Living in Wisconsin, he probably felt threatened,” another tweet, which was still online Monday morning, read — referring to the driver being held as a person of interest in the Waukesha incident, which left five people dead and dozens hurt.

In another now-deleted tweeted, Lemanski wrote, “I’m sad. I’m sad anytime anyone dies. I just believe in Karma and this came around quick on the citizens of Wisconsin.”

A Twitter user shared a screenshot of another now-deleted tweet, which reads, “Someone who believes in reaping what you so. Wisconsin put that bad energy out there. It came back real fast.”

Other shocking tweets are still visible on her Twitter account, as of Monday morning:

“You reap what you sow, Wisconsin,” she writes.

“Living in Wisconsin, he probably felt threatened,” Lemanski mocked in another tweet.

“I’m sure he didn’t want to hurt anyone. He came to help people,” reads another mocking tweet.

The snarks continue. She writes in another tweet, “Man, you Proud Boys have been waiting for days for me to say something controversial. Here it is for you all to see: Court cases have consequences and set precedent. The precedent has been set. Don’t hate the Messenger.”

Fox News shared a screenshot of another now-deleted tweet, as Lemanski wrote, “The blood of Kyle Rittenhouse’s victims is on the hands of Wisconsin citizens, even the children.”

Lemanski claims she will sue Fox News for reporting on her tweets.

In response to all the backlash Monday morning, Lemanski lamented, “Nobody cared about me like my whole life. My mom used to leave me for hours at a time alone in my play pen. I’ve put out music for 20 years nobody gave a shit. Why do people all of a sudden care about a stupid remark? I can’t believe my 15 minutes of fame is for this shit.”

Lemanski then posted screenshots of announcement from DuPage Democrats announcing her resignation.

“I firmly believe in the right to freedom of speech. I also believe that you must be willing to accept responsibility and the consequences of your actions for that free speech,” a statement from Lemanski reads.

“I unfortunately made some remarks that were not in good taste regarding the Waukesha tragedy yesterday. I am accepting the consequences of my free speech, and so I have resigned as Social Media Manager and the Democratic Party of DuPage County has accepted my resignation.”

In a statement posted to Facebook, DuPage Democrats wrote, “We are deeply saddened by the tragedy in Waukesha. We believe that violence is wrong. We are aware of statements made by a former member of our organization and find them to be incredibly insensitive and not in alignment of who we are as a organization or our values, Our organization does not support hate in any form.”

  11. Question??? Did she resign or was she forced to resign….She clearly has no remorse over what she voiced. It seems it is freedom of speech when a left leaning Democrat says anything. She needs to fall on her knees and cry out for God’s forgiveness. I think everyday that nothing else stupid could be said then there is a new clueless person on the scene.   16. Actually, I feel sorry for this young lady because she obviously has psychological problems stemming from lack of love as a child resulting in lack of self esteem. Rather than firing her, the Democrat Party should have offered her some counseling. Perhaps that could better be provided by the Republican Party who could put her on the right path.
