Adam starred in other films, including “Code Red” in 1981 and “Dungeons & Dragons” in 1983.

He left the show business in the ’80s because he did not like the spotlight or being a celebrity.

Adam’s mantra was: “Life is for living, and I live my life to the fullest every day.”

He was 54 when he passed.

Film historian James L. Neibaur tweeted, “SAD FAREWELL. Adam Rich, the youngest child on TV’s Eight is Enough back in the 70s, was found dead in his home Saturday. No cause has been reported. Adam was only 54.”
