The number of foreign nationals holding jobs in the United States has hit the highest level since the Labor Department began tracking the data in 1996 as the employment of native-born Americans declines, a trend under President Joe Biden.

In 2022, foreign-born workers saw their share of the labor market hit the highest level in almost 30 years at more than 18 percent, with close to 30 million now holding U.S. jobs, according to data published in the Wall Street Journal.

The number of foreign-born workers holding jobs or looking for work increased by 1.8 million last year — more than the 1.3 million native-born Americans who joined the workforce.

The report notes that the foreign-born workforce has increased by five percent over the last four years, while the number of native-born Americans in the workforce has declined by 0.5 percent.

“Likewise, unemployment for foreign-born workers was lower last year, at 3.4 percent, than the unemployment rate for native-born Americans, at 3.7 percent,” Breitbart notes.

  1. Those foreigners are willing to work hard. American’s have become entitled and lazy and don’t want to go back to work. They want to work remotely. Too demanding so it’s no wonder foreigners are happy to take jobs at lower pay scale because it’s still a whole lot more money than they’d be making back in their home Countries

  2. When I went back to New Jersey to visit, the McDonald’s in the area was completely hispanic and even the menu signs were in Spanish and English. Times, they are a-changing!

  3. Fools voted Democratic. They shut everybody down & paid everyone to stay home. Got it all for free. No whining! You asked for it!

  4. Companies hire foreign workers on visa grants. They hold them to a contract with a non competitive clause. They are paid less than US employees. A cost win for the company, an employment loss for the US worker and US college grads. When it comes to layoffs, the US worker goes first. Look at what happened in 2001. And currently Dems are pushing a bill increasing foreign worker visas. Talking good paying white collar jobs here.
