The Fox News analyst whose brother was fatally shot in Chicago last month told The Post that Monday’s mass parade shooting outside the Windy City is another example of “soft-on-crime” policies gone awry.

Gianno Caldwell, whose 18-year-old brother, Christian Beamon, was slain by a gunman June 24, said he was trying to take his mind off his sibling’s still-unsolved slaying while at a beach in south Florida on Monday when he learned about the country’s latest mass killing.

The article goes on to state the following:

“The ‘defund the police’ mantra has become like a disease that’s spreading from the inner cities to suburbs everywhere,” Caldwell told The Post of Monday’s bloodbath at an Independence Day parade in Highland Park about 25 miles north of Chicago.

“The idea of defunding the police and reallocating those funds comes with a mentality that criminals are embracing, which is that the police can’t touch me,” Caldwell said. “[Criminals] don’t fear [police officers] because [cops] are handicapped from doing their jobs.”

Caldwell followed up with a tweet that had a similar message.

“The defund the police mantra is a disease that’s spread to the suburbs and going further,” he wrote. “Criminals are empowered by this and police are demoralized by this. This idea is getting people killed.”

He also tweeted, “Praying for the families impacted. Highland Park, Illinois Fourth of July parade shooting.”

  1. I feel horrible about all the crime happening all across our country, especially in blue cities with do nothing DA’s. Gianno had a sister & her 3mo old baby robbed at gunpoint too in Chicago. He’s right, criminals feel emboldened because of they aren’t being held accountable for their crimes. What is the end game for Soros & his lemmings? If this country is totally out of control with crime, not even these scumbags will be safe in this country. Nobody will have any control over these criminals. I just don’t get it.

  2. He’s right, we need a President and a Govenor who will bring back Capital punishment with the Electric Chair, and make it public viewing !
