The House committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot reportedly made a false accusation against a witness, Bernard Kerik, who worked for former President Donald Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani to investigate the 2020 election.

The committee accused Kerik in a subpoena of attending a meeting in Washington, D.C., to discuss possible ways of overturning the 2020 presidential election. However, tollbooth records contradict this claim and show that he was in New York City at the time of the alleged meeting, Just The News reported .

The article goes on to state the following:

“You reportedly participated in a meeting on January 5, 2021, at the Willard Hotel in Washington, D.C., in which Rudolph Giuliani, Stephen Bannon, John Eastman, and others discussed options for overturning the results of the November 2020 election such as, among other things, pressuring Vice President Pence to not certify the electoral college results,'” the committee said in its Nov. 8 subpoena .

The committee claimed it had “credible evidence” that Kerik attended the Jan. 5 meeting, when in fact, he was not even in Washington, D.C. on that day.

The January 6 Committee has now admitted its mistake in a letter to Kerik’s attorney, Just The News reported .

In response to the subpoena issued to Kerick, former President Donald Trump blasted out the following statement Wednesday, warning that what the committee is going to get is “massive evidence of voter fraud.”

Trump wrote:

The Unselect Committee issued a subpoena to Bernie Kerik, an American Patriot and great former Police Commissioner of New York City, for its Jan. 6th Witch Hunt, but didn’t realize what they were demanding is a massive trove of evidence of Voter Fraud.

According to Bernie’s lawyer, these documents show significant indicators of fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election Scam, but have remained hidden from the public. It is exactly what the Unselect Committee should be interested in—if this was a real investigation.

Bernie wants to comply with the subpoena with a public hearing, and asked me to waive attorney-client privilege so Bernie can testify and provide documents, which I grant him. The Unselect Committee will not like what they asked for!” – President Donald J. Trump

Regarding the false allegation against Kerick, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio)  tweeted, “The January 6th Committee said they had “credible evidence” that Bernard Kerik attended a planning meeting at the Willard Hotel in D.C. One problem? Kerik was in New York City on the day of the meeting!”

Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.) tweeted, “The 1/6 Committee used a lie to subpoena (another) political opponent. This is the most destructive and lawless Committee in the history of Congress.”

Just The News founder John Solomon wrote, “In potential embarrassment for Democrat-led probe, Bob Woodward, tollbooth records undercut Jan. 6 panel claim Kerik attended secret D.C. meeting.”

  1. Why do they continue to get away with calling any post-Nov 3 action as “overturning” the election? SMH there is no official “election” until the votes are certified and the gavel drops. J6 wasn’t about overturning anything, it was about getting the election results correct in the first place!

  2. Gonna laugh when the 1/6 committee’s house collapses as their lies are exposed. Broadcast Kerik hearing on all channels. Then watch them scramble!
