Russian leaders were quickly critical of the arrest warrant that the International Criminal Court issued for President Vladimir Putin based on alleged crimes committed in Ukraine.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the ICC’s warrant, which was announced on Friday, was “null and void” because Russia did not recognize the court’s jurisdiction, a position he adamantly reaffirmed.

“We consider the very formulation of the issue outrageous and unacceptable. Russia, as well as several other states, do not recognize the jurisdiction of this court and, accordingly, any decisions of this kind are null and void for Russia in terms of law,” Peskov said, according to Russian state media outlet TASS. “That is, in fact, the only thing I would and could tell you about this decision.”

The International Criminal Court announced the arrest warrant for Putin on Friday, accusing him of forcibly stealing thousands of children from Ukraine and taking them to Russia, where they’ve been subject to “political re-education training.”

ICC prosecutor Karim Khan said, “The accounts of those who had cared for these children, and their fears as to what had become of them, underlined the urgent need for action. We must ensure that those responsible for alleged crimes are held accountable and that children are returned to their families and communities. As I stated at the time, we cannot allow children to be treated as if they are the spoils of war.”

  1. That was predictable. That warrant is nothing but postering. Perhaps it would have been wise to not keep treating Russia like it’s still the USSR and adhere to promises given. Can’t keep kicking the boat and not expect a wave.
Leasing from behind contributing to the fight was a dumb move. Ukraine was Russia till the early 90’s. Biden wanted to me the big boy runnung the world. He can’t form a run on sentence, USA being weak Leads to this type of crap.
    Thanks Biden!

  2. And it took a year to finally get an arrest warrant? After the aunties States spend $$$$$$$$$$$ on Ukraine? And Putin did so much damage to towns and killed many people?

  3. First off we need to worry about our own country! Secondly what do you think our own schools and universities are teaching our children! NOPE LETS WORRY ABOUT UKRAINE THAT IS AS CORRUPT AS OUR GOVERNMENT!

    • Exactly right. After reading they are worried about Ukraine children getting retraining, they lost me. So they are charging Putin with War crimes on children. It’s ok to retrain our children,
call us terrorists if we fight for our children, mutilate them as children & teach them to denounce being white & teach them explicit sex in schools & you want us to believe Putin is causing them harm? Absurd. My opinion on this war is that Ukraine has something on the Biden’s that he has not told the world because there is money involved & paperwork of some kind of deal. Perhaps through Hunter. I feel like Joe Biden backed this War
keep Zelensky quiet & can’t back out now. All our money & military equipment & ammo, gone! Joe is pushing us into W.W.111. This is bad for America!!!!! Joe pushed the wrong man thinking he is untouchable but his foreign experience sucks & our blood lost will be on him.

  4. Are they going to arrest the Clinton’s for all the kids they have kidnapped and killed? No one talks about all the Russian deaths from 2014 or how the USA helped start all this.
