Much to the chagrin of his left-wing critics, TIME magazine surpassed all expectations on Monday when the notoriously woke publication selected the refreshingly non-woke billionaire Elon Musk as 2021’s “Person of the Year.”

Describing him as a “madcap hybrid of Thomas Edison, P.T. Barnum, Andrew Carnegie and Watchmen’s Doctor Manhattan,” the Tesla founder was honored for his unapologetic individualism and his defiance of those who doubted him.

The article goes on to state the following:

“A few short years ago, Musk was roundly mocked as a crazy con artist on the verge of going broke,” TIME explained. “Now this shy South African with Asperger’s syndrome, who escaped a brutal childhood and overcame personal tragedy, bends governments and industry to the force of his ambition.”

Many on the left did not waste time and took to social media to criticize the magazine and express how displeased they are with their choice.

Rep. Pramila Jayapal wrote Monday, “It’s *TIME* for Elon Musk to pay his fair share in taxes.”

Sen. Elizabeth Warren said, “Let’s change the rigged tax code so The Person of the Year will actually pay taxes and stop freeloading off everyone else.”

Democratic advisor Kurt Bardella tweeted, “And with that @time has lost all remaining credibility… what an absolute disgrace.”

The Atlantic writer Molly Jong-Fast said, “Elon mush would not exist without the government subsidies he can’t stop complaining about.”

Host Akilah Hughes wrote, “It’s the not paying taxes and not being vilified for it for me.”

Author Kurt Eichenwald tweeted, “I held back on saying much about Time selecting Elon Musk as person of the years until I read their reasoning. In a year when the developers of the mRNA vaccines have saved millions and helped restore global economies, the selection of Musk this year may be the worst choice ever.”

WAPO columnist Margaret Sullivan tweeted, “Maybe @TIME ought to change its definition of those deserving recognition — given the time we live in.”

Editor-in-Chief, Science Family of Journals, Holden Thorp tweeted, “Just when you thought 2021 couldn’t get any worse.”

Democratic strategist Max Burns said, “In a year marked by record levels of pro-labor union organizing across the country, from John Deere to Amazon to Starbucks, @TIME honors a guy who revels in violating labor laws.”

Professor Cas Mudde wrote, “Given @Time tradition of selecting the worst people on the planet for this ‘award’, I think this is a very logical choice.”

Greenwalt thinks that mRNA developers should have been chosen, and they’re bitching about Musk not paying taxes….The vaccine developers-who are making BANK off those jabs, one, two, three, four (to infinity and beyond). Yet, so many fully vaxxed are still getting it and dying from it; we’re still masked up, and our rights are being encroached upon. If they work so great, then who are we a world still in lockdowns and unconstitutional restrictions. The fact that the left is bitching so loud gives you the knowledge that they probably made the right choice.

  6. all of those with big pharma interest crying because someone that ACTUALLY made his money that they are jean of and want big chicks of made man of the year— oh yes and he disagrees with their bull shit. he’s probably gotten his share of government handouts but at least he’s smart enough to see through their green new steal bs. plus you get no tax credit on your electric vehicles unless they’re union made and i don’t think tesla is union!

    This man is brilliant and did not let the setbacks in his life stop him from succeeding in so many ways. He is the type of person to be emulated.
    The award is well deserved!

  9. I agree with George. I recently listened to an interview of Musk and he actually seems to care about people unlike other billionaires we can think of. He is very altruistic and he says about the BBB bill “delete it”. It costs too much, has unnecessary provisions and only puts us into more debt we can’t afford. As to how much he pays in taxes – how do any of those libtards know?? He says he pays 50% in taxes, and Tesla has not received any electric car subsidies for 3 years. So, I would tend to believe him. We do know that some other billionaires do not pay taxes (I heard that about Bezos) but what do we really know? We should not assume.

  10. I did not get the jab nor do I plan to, but that decision was easy to defend; if Elon Musk did not neither am I. I can’t say I agree with him on everything philosophically but he does not have a closed mind and is very open to real facts.
