Sen. Ted Cruz poked fun at Rep. Eric Swalwell after it was revealed that a suspected Chinese spy was one of his campaign bundlers.
“More than once, I’ve said ‘screw the Chinese communists,’” the Texas Republican tweeted about the California Democrat. “Little did I know how closely Swalwell was listening.”
The article goes on to state the following:
It was reported earlier this week that Christine Fang, a Chinese national suspected to be working with China’s Ministry of State Security, conducted political operations on behalf of the Chinese government and that Swalwell was one of her “most significant targets.”
According to the report, Fang helped fundraise for Swalwell’s 2014 re-election campaign, and even placed an intern in his office. Some reports have alleged that Swalwell was even romantically involved with Fang. When federal investigators warned him about her in 2015, he reportedly cut off all ties to her and she fled the country.
Swalwell lashed out after the news broke about his ties to Fang, even suggesting President Trump was to blame for “leaking” the information in an effort to discredit him.
More than once, I’ve said “screw the Chinese communists.”
Little did I know how closely Swalwell was listening.

However, some people didn’t think it was funny:
Kinda crass,. As much as you want to stoop to their level, it is unbecoming. Please refrain and keep it classy.
