ORLANDO, Fla. – A man was arrested at a Disney Springs parking garage last month after he was found to have a gun, two magazines, and ammunition in a backpack while going through security.

According to the police report, on May 27, 2022, Aaron Josue Lopez, of Royal Palm Beach, went through Disney’s security at the Orange parking garage around 10 p.m. and was referred for a secondary search of his bag.

The article goes on to state the following:

Weapons, including guns and knives, are not allowed within any Disney property, according to the resort’s policy.

According to the report, Lopez admitted to Disney security that he had a folding knife in his bag, and then said, “Oh there’s something else in here besides a knife that I wanna put back in my car.”

He turned and walked away, but another Disney employee stopped him and managed to get him to meet with Orange County Sheriff’s detectives, who discovered he had a gun with no serial number on it.

Lopez was arrested and jailed on one count of carrying a concealed firearm.

  1. He must have been one of those law abiding gun owners who went through a background check before buying that legal firearm! Hey maybe another gun law would stop him next time.

  2. Yeah, too bad the weapons he obtained illegally wouldn’t have gone through those ‘necessary background checks.’
