The U.S. Justice Department said Friday that a Texas man has been arrested on charges of posting threatening messages on Craigslist about killing government officials in Georgia following the 2020 election.

It was announced as the first arrest by the Justice Department’s new Election Threats Task Force created last summer.

The article goes on to state the following:

Chad Stark, 54, is charged with one count of communicating interstate threats, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison. Federal prosecutors accuse Stark of posting a message on Jan. 5, 2021, titled, “Georgia Patriots it’s time to kill (redacted) the Chinese agent – $10,000.”

Attorney General Merrick Garland said, “The Justice Department has a responsibility not only to protect the right to vote, but also to protect those who administer our voting systems from violence and illegal threats of violence.”

Attorney Ron Filipkowski tweeted Friday, “DOJ’s new Election Threats Task Force made their first arrest today. Chad Stark of Leander, TX was charged after making a post online encouraging ‘patriots’ to go after elections officials and judges in GA. 1. Then protect our fraudulent elections. We know the election was stolen but don’t have the power to stop it. Governors have the power to get this fixed.

  2. Who can blame the poor guy ? These ” officials ” don’t leave poor people with any other recourse than to kill! I know the feeling, I’m fed up with this administration’s bullshit too, as are a whole lot of people! We just need to quit using social media to communicate our thoughts and ideas to each other! That’ll cause ’em some concerns!!!
