Pelosi, already under pressure from the left to launch an impeachment inquiry against President Trump, is now hearing from voices on and off Capitol Hill to go after Kavanaugh, who is facing new allegations of sexual misconduct.

Asked Monday about the Democrats’ next steps on Kavanaugh, one aide was terse.

The article goes on to state the following:

“Frankly, [we’re] trying to keep everyone focused on gun background checks this week,” the aide said.

Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.), House Judiciary Committee Chairman, was asked about impeaching Kavanaugh. He suggested his committee will remain focused on possible impeachable offenses committed by Donald J. Trump and not the embattled Supreme Court Justice.

“…we have our hands full with impeaching the president right now,” Nadler said during an interview with WNYC.

“That’s going to take up our limited resources and time for a while” he added.

Nadler said the committee will look into allegations facing Kavanaugh, however.
