New polling shows that the public is more likely to call illegal immigration rather than the COVID-19 pandemic a “very big problem.”

Almost half, or 48%, now view illegal immigration as a “very big problem,” while 47% view the coronavirus pandemic the same way. The numbers reflect a large change from June, when only 28% viewed illegal immigration as a “very big problem,” compared to 58% who felt that way about the coronavirus, according to numbers for Pew Research.

The article goes on to state the following:

The numbers come as the Biden administration has struggled to deal with a surge in illegal border crossings since Inauguration Day, with the Department of Homeland Security now estimating that about 500,000 to 800,000 family groups will attempt to make the crossing in fiscal 2021. Border officials estimated that a record high of over 17,000 unaccompanied minors attempted to cross the border in March alone.

Pew cited that the concern over the coronavirus declined 11 points from (58% to 47%) since June 2020 and illegal immigration jumped 20 points (from 28% to 48%).

“While views of most national problems are divided along partisan lines, including illegal immigration, increasing shares of both Republicans and Democrats rate illegal immigration as a very big problem,” the report stated.

The poll found that the number for Republicans jumped up 29 points from June to 72%, and the number among Democrats rose 14 points to 29% that found illegal immigration as a ‘very big problem.’

According to Pew Research, the poll was conducted between April 5 and 11 and surveyed 5,109 adults.

  1. President Trump had immigration under control biden dont care what happen to us the citizens of the USA he protected by guards an soldiers along with congress an there family until one kills several of them nothing will be done or someone rich

  2. Biden is a bigger issue. Those that said COVID and support him and letting all those that cross the boarder with more COVID can take the blame if another lock down happens

  3. If he stopped the flow of the illegals it would slow the spread of covid also. They are coming in and up to 20% have covid and are allowed to travel with their $1100.00 travel voucher to wherever they want bring it with them. I’d like a $1100.00 travel voucher to visit family too.

  4. Repartition=Cultural Civil War
There will be racism in this country to the likes of what you’ve never seen. Trust me. It won’t be pretty.

  5. We can learn to live with covid just like the flu but we can’t live with uncontrolled immigration. The mess at the border will get worse and hard working tax paying American citizens will be permanently affected and fundamentally change what we once knew as America😢
