Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) called for a repeal of the Espionage Act following the FBI’s raid of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home on Monday.

The Kentucky Republican made the announcement in a tweet linking to an article from former Libertarian presidential candidate Jacob Hornberger, who argued that the Espionage Act has been abused and should be abolished.

The article goes on to state the following:

“The espionage act was abused from the beginning to jail dissenters of WWI. It is long past time to repeal this egregious affront to the 1st Amendment,” Paul tweeted.

    • Republicans will try to repeal the espionage act but it won’t pass by the Demonrats because they see it as a means to continue to use it against us. The Dems hindsight is grabage, so of course they won’t think to repeal it not realizing we will turn around and use it against them later.

  1. GOOD, THIS administration needs to be kept in check, from engaging in any more freedom atrocities like the raid of President Trumps home. It goes to show you, that one man’s hate, or in this case, one Party’s hate for one man, can jeopardize freedom for everyone. If we survive this, we must have the backbone to rid the world, of the Demoncratic Party and its demons !
