Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) is coming to the defense of Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) amid a high-profile feud with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) that is sparking fresh questions about her future in GOP leadership.

“Every person of conscience draws a line beyond which they will not go: Liz Cheney refuses to lie,” Romney tweeted on Tuesday about the No. 3 House Republican.

“As one of my Republican Senate colleagues said to me following my impeachment vote: ‘I wouldn’t want to be a member of a group that punished someone for following their conscience,'” he added.

Cheney struck back against former President Donald Trump on Monday, tweeting, “The 2020 presidential election was not stolen. Anyone who claims it was is spreading THE BIG LIE, turning their back on the rule of law, and poisoning our democratic system.”

  1. Why are we talking about these two losers? Both are on there way out. I thought one had to be fairly intelligent to reach the level in government that these to morons have. They have 2 things in common. They both have a deep hatred and jealousy of Trump, and they are both stupid and self righteous. No use for either of those Rino’s.

  2. Omg. That is like the pot calling the kettle black. He is a two face POS. I am glad he does not want to be part of a group that does not think like him.

  3. The more these feckless RINOs speak out the better. It provides more fodder for their constituents to vote them out on their next election.

  4. The term ‘a priori’ means knowledge before the fact. When Liz Cheney claims knowledge about the election it’s ‘a priori’. Meaning she has no knowledge to make her statement about the election.
It’s truly remarkable that the Democratic field of potential candidates was so weak that they elected a corpse that campaigned from his home to no one. He also lost to Bernie Sanders in the primary except for the influence of super delegates. So much for ‘Democracy’.

Liz go home, take ‘Mit the fish’ with you.
