Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) has proposed legislation for tuition-free college in a bill that disproportionately supports wealthier families.

The bill dubbed the “College for All Act” intends to render community colleges and trade schools tuition free for students from families earning less than $125,000 a year. But there is more. “Trade schools and community colleges would be free for all students,” according to a CBS News report.

The article goes on to state the following:

On the legislation introduced with radical Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), Sanders wrote in an Op-Ed Wednesday saying there is “no question” the proposal is “expensive,” but paying to fix this problem “should not fall on the shoulders of working Americans who already pay the bulk of this nation’s taxes.”

Sanders wrote, “The good news is that we are living in the wealthiest country in the history of the world.”

Sanders proposed how to pay for this bill if it gets passed by offering the following solutions: “End offshore tax havens, Raise taxes on inherited wealth, Establish a tax on financial transactions, End fossil fuel subsidies.”

Sanders tweeted Wednesday, “In the wealthiest country in the history of the world, a higher education should be a right for all, not a privilege for the few. If we are going to have the kind of standard of living that the American people deserve, we need to have the best educated workforce in the world.”

Sanders continued, “It is absolutely unacceptable that hundreds of thousands of bright young Americans do not get a higher education each year, not because they are unqualified, but because their family does not have enough money. In the 21st century, a free public education system that goes from kindergarten through high school is no longer good enough. The time is long overdue to make public colleges and universities tuition-free and debt-free for working families.”

  1. Tradesmen today charge like brain surgeons and they can easily afford to pay back the tuition of their trade schools. Sanders’ Socialism makes sense only in Socialist countries and perhaps he should move to one of those more “enlightened” countries.

  2. What a bunch of b*******. Let the rich athletes black and white pay for the free college. They have millions of dollars and they do nothing with it except by bigger houses and more expensive cars. Make the politicians especially the liberals that are raping the American taxpayer with taxes let them pay for it they made millions off of us.

As a taxpayer I refuse to pay for free college when as a single mom I had to send my kids to college and paid for it working two jobs. If these blacks would get off their ass and get jobs they be able to afford college or at least go to a trade school.

  3. You are not taking my tax money I paid for my college and my kids you went to inexpensive schools they knew could make the payments – I am sick of people not taking responsibility for their actions – fix the college problem if you want to help.

  4. These colleges and universities are each getting millions of dollars from China and illegally not reporting it. Why not use this money to pay for tuition for lower income students instead of the money going into the pockets of liberal teachers and God knows where?

  5. If it were free I’d still be in school and I’m 65. Sanders said it should be all right you can say whatever you want it’s not if it’s free that it is by definition worthless in terms of the adult Marketplace.
