Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., blasted President Joe Biden’s Justice Department Friday after the DOJ announced it was dropping a civil rights probe into New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s handling of the coronavirus in nursing homes.

“It is outrageous that the Department of Justice refuses to investigate the deadly ‘must admit’ orders issued by governors in New York, Pennsylvania, and Michigan that resulted in the deaths of thousands of senior citizens,” the minority whip said in a statement Friday.

The article goes on to state the following:

The DOJ told Republican lawmakers Friday that it will not pursue an investigation into the Cuomo nursing home scandal but a separate investigation by federal prosecutors into the matter will continue.

“Where is the justice for nursing home victims and their grieving families? These deadly orders contradicted the CDC’s guidance, and needlessly endangered the most vulnerable among us to the deadly COVID-19 virus,” Scalise continued. “Even worse, Governor Cuomo in New York intentionally tried to cover up the true death toll resulting from his mandate. Grieving families deserve answers and accountability. It’s unconscionable that Biden’s Department of Justice refuses to investigate the deadly actions that went against CDC’s medical guidance taken in these states.”

Scalise referred to the decision as ‘Absolutely shameful’ on Twitter, adding that the DOJ is ‘complicit in these Democrat governors’ cover ups.’

Multiple Democrats echoed Scalise’s outrage over cutting the investigation, including New York’s Rep. Elise Stefanik who said Biden is now “complicit in Cuomo’s nursing home coverup.”

NY congressman Lee Zeldin slammed the governor of his state, claiming the DOJ’s decision was a “gift to a corrupt governor who has already scored himself a $5.1M self-congratulatory book deal & ridiculous Emmy Award.”

  1. It is no longer DOJ, it’s now the DOI – Department of Injustice. Sadly these idiots have ignored the elderly who were murdered by our Governors and their families. I leave it to our Lord to meet out true justice in due course.

  2. WE ARE SEEING VERY EVIL DECISIONS FROM THIS SO CALLED DOJ AND ADMINISTRATION, THIS IS NOT HOW THIS COUNTRY SHOULD BE RAN, ITS CORRUPTION AT ITS FINEST AND THESE DEMOCRATS ARE THE WORST.
TWO TIERED JUSTICE SYSTEM AND ITS OUT OF CONTROL.

  3. Instead of using a broad DOJ term, give out the names of these corrupt people so they can be personally informed of their terrible decisions.

  4. Why are they testing the Jesus in me!!!! We have no justice system. I agree with you Crazy what idiots do. Let us hope it’s soon. That’s all I’m going to say because my BP & Jesus won’t like if I say what I’m thinking . The devil has a hold on my temper lately and I would like to apologize to any Christians on here for using some of the words I’ve used pertaining to animal butts. I just get so infuriated by what is happening & no consequences being paid unless you are a conservative who dares speak out. Ok I’m stopping because I feel the anger building.
