President Trump’s attorney on Monday said the president and his legal team were “disappointed” that Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger “secretly recorded and released” what he described as a “confidential settlement discussion” about the Georgia election results.
The attorney’s comments come after audio of Trump’s Saturday phone call with Raffensperger was obtained by The Washington Post, and published in full, in which the president urged the secretary of state to “find” enough votes to reverse the state’s election results.
The article goes on to state the following:
“We are disappointed that the secretary of state and his staff secretly recorded and released a confidential settlement discussion to settle the two pending lawsuits,” Trump attorney Kurt Hilbert said Monday.
“While they may think that behavior is appropriate, we do not,” Hilbert added. “Consequently, we will not be commenting on settlement discussions.”
“All I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have. Because we won the state,” Trump said during the call, sparking backlash.
The president also slammed the Georgia Secretary of State on Twitter Sunday for not having answers when questioned about “the “ballots under table” scam, ballot destruction, out of state “voters”, dead voters, and more.”
Trump added, “He has no clue!”
I spoke to Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger yesterday about Fulton County and voter fraud in Georgia. He was unwilling, or unable, to answer questions such as the “ballots under table” scam, ballot destruction, out of state “voters”, dead voters, and more. He has no clue!
