An All-American college gymnast from Connecticut has died after suffering a spinal cord injury during a training accident.
Melanie Coleman, 20, passed away on Sunday at Yale New Haven Hospital, two days after she slipped off the uneven bars during practice at Southern Connecticut State University, according to school officials.
