President Donald Trump has signaled that he will nominate a replacement for Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg ‘without delay’, setting up an extraordinary confirmation battle in the Senate just weeks before the elections.

‘We were put in this position of power and importance to make decisions for the people who so proudly elected us, the most important of which has long been considered to be the selection of United States Supreme Court Justices. We have this obligation, without delay!’ Trump tweeted on Saturday morning from the White House.

The article goes on to state the following:

The tweet was addressed to the Republican Party’s main account, in an apparent rallying cry to the party to move forward to confirm his nominee before the November 3 election.

  1. I agree. Move forward and fill the position . This will be interesting. The Democrats are knee-deep in trying to steal the election and now will have to divert energy to stand in the way of whoever President Trump chooses to put forth for the Supreme Court (think Brett Kavanaugh Democrat debacle).

  2. Do it.. I am worried that some of the spineless Republicans will not go along with this… We all know the names.. Collins, Romney, Gardner..?? The idiot Senator from Alaska seems to be against it already… I’m through with the Republican Party if they scuttle this opportunity…

  3. Absolutely! Don’t think the Dems would not do the same thing if they had the majority in Senate and a Dem President! They are hypocritical to suggest not doing it!

  4. If the shoe was on the other foot the evil Dems would have already started the confirmation hearings…. don’t kid yourself. Rbg doesn’t get nor deserve any dying wishes… None.. nada. She was a left wing lib judge that made decisions that hurt many people. God bless her but let’s not make her into a saint. President Trump.. do it now!!!!

  5. Yes! President Trump whatever it takes-I’m sure the huge list of prospects have been vetted by reps this past 2-3 years as all knew Ginsberg was gravely ill/elderly/ frail-so this comes as NO surprise—- we need the BEST with the CLEANEST SLATE- as we are WELL aware that the Dems will attack WHOEVER President nominates – the lies will be stacked sky high BUT again we need the squeakiest clean smart and conservationist choice From that 50-60 list!—LETS GO! The President is calling WITHOUT DELAY! And it’s HIS duty!—- NEXT!!!!!! ( sidebar: perhaps 3 rd Nobel Peace Prize Nomination for 3 Supreme Court Judges in 4 years!- ya never know!)—personally Tom Cotton❤️🇺🇸❤️

  6. Absolutely. Mitch, you need to secure 50 votes. Look out for Collins, Sasse, Gardner, Mckosskey (or whatever the moron from Alaska is named) and of course Romney. Collins, McKosskey and Romney are already no go’s. So you have to work on the others. I am hoping, but not optimistic that you can get the votes before the election….but possibly after. Collins, Gardner and McSally will lose their seats…but hopefully would still give a good vote after their defeats. Good luck…this is so important.

  7. President Trump is the 1st.president to fulfill their campaign promises since President Ronald Reagan. And yes, President Trump has the legal right and responsibility to fill this Supreme Court vacancy.
