Former President Donald Trump has responded to Joe Biden’s recent claim that climate change is the “greatest threat” to America’s national security.
Biden made the remarks while speaking to Air Force personnel stationed in the United Kingdom where he has traveled to participate in meetings with G7 and NATO leaders.
Trump posted the following statement on his website Thursday, in response to Biden’s remark:
“Biden just said that he was told by the Joint Chiefs of Staff that Climate Change is our greatest threat. If that is the case, and they actually said this, he ought to immediately fire the Joint Chiefs of Staff for being incompetent!”

Biden had actually referred to the time at the beginning of the Obama administration, when he first served as vice-president.
He said, “When I went over to the tank in the Pentagon when I was first was elected vice president with President Obama, the military sat us down and let us know what the greatest threats facing America were, the greatest physical threats. This is not a joke. You know what the Joint Chiefs told us the greatest physical threat facing America was? Global warming.”
“There will be significant population movements, fights over land, millions of people leaving places because they’re literally sinking below the sea in Indonesia, because of the fights over what is arable land anymore,” Biden claimed.
