President Trump tore into Democrat impeachment manager Rep. Adam Schiff on Twitter Monday morning, just prior to the Senate resuming their impeachment trial.

The impeachment trial has suddenly taken on a new life after the New York Times released a “bombshell” report Sunday night, stating that former national security adviser John Bolton is alleging in his forthcoming book that the president specifically told him he wanted to “continue freezing $391 million in security assistance to Ukraine until officials there helped with investigations into Democrats including the Bidens.”

The president first repeated once again, “READ THE TRANSCRIPTS!” in reference to the transcript released by the White House of his call last June with the president of Ukraine – a call which Democrats latched onto as the initial reason for trying to oust him from office.

Then Trump ripped into Schiff, and questioned once again his links to the unnamed “whistleblower” who reportedly first made a claim about Trump’s phone call with Ukraine, based on hearsay. Trump tweeted:

Schiff must release the IG report, without changes or tampering, which is said to be yet further exoneration of the Impeachment Hoax. He refuses to give it. Does it link him to Whistleblower? Why is he so adamant?

Meanwhile, Schiff stepped up to the microphones Monday morning and told reporters that the Senate cannot possibly have a “meaningful” trial without testimony from Bolton.
