In a stunning landslide, socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders, 78, shot to the head of the pack by winning the Democrat caucuses in Nevada on Saturday and officially became the current front-runner in his race for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Sanders already had 47 percent of the vote with just 27 percent reporting on Saturday night. Joe Biden was left in second place with a distant 22.8 percent of the votes.

President Trump responded to the caucus results on Twitter Saturday evening. He wrote:

Looks like Crazy Bernie is doing well in the Great State of Nevada. Biden & the rest look weak, & no way Mini Mike can restart his campaign after the worst debate performance in the history of Presidential Debates. Congratulations Bernie, & don’t let them take it away from you!

In another tweet, Trump responded to a report just published on Friday stating that Sanders has been informed that Russia is trying to interfere in the U.S. elections, in order to help Sanders win. Quoting a Fox News guest, Trump tweeted:

“The Kremlin is reportedly backing Bernie Sanders bid to win the White House.” Jon Scott @FoxNews. Why didn’t somebody tell me this?

The president appeared to be referring to reports that Russia interfered in the 2016 election, but the Obama administration never notified the Trump campaign.
