Former NFL Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III is now facing five charges stemming from his fiery car crash this week that left a woman dead.

Clark County prosecutors on Friday tacked on additional felony charges DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm, reckless driving resulting in substantial bodily harm and a misdemeanor charge of possession of a firearm while under the influence, according to court documents obtained by the Las Vegas Review Journal.

The article goes on to state the following:

The football star was previously charged with DUI and reckless driving resulting in death.

The charges could lead to 46 years in prison if Ruggs is convicted on all counts, prosecutors said.

The victim, 23-year-old Tina Tintor, leaves behind a grieving family. USA TODAY Sports reports that her parents are “destroyed,” according to the woman’s brother. From USA TODAY:

“I almost can’t even look at them,’’ said Djordje Tintor, the older brother of Tina Tintor, who died in the fiery crash during which Ruggs was traveling 156 mph with a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit. “Every time I look at them it just breaks my heart.’’

Djordje Tintor, 25, said his family escaped war-torn Serbia in 2000 before moving to Las Vegas and that his parents were maintaining their privacy after the fatal accident.

“They’re not comfortable with the attention and everything,’’ he said. “They just want to grieve in their way.’’

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs, a former teammate of Henry Ruggs III at the University of Alabama, commented on the crash. Diggs said he hasn’t contacted Ruggs, but he expressed sympathy for Ruggs and the victim’s family.

“Right now is not the time,” Diggs said. “He needs his space. He needs our love. Things happen.”

“It’s a sad situation,’’ Diggs said. “I’m praying for everyone involved. I’m just praying for him and praying for the victim’s family as well.’’

  1. Digs didn’t lose a loved one in death. Yeah things happen and Ruggs made this thing happen by his terrible choices! He chose to get drunk and he chose to drive. I don’t feel sorry for him. Someone lost their life because he chose a poor lifestyle!

  2. Human choice much like firearms, cars do nothing on their own, just objects. Ruggs made a terrible decisions and should pay the ultimate penalty! This young woman’s family has been destroyed forever!

  3. Why is it the incident with George the crony Floyd brought 2nd degree Murder charges – but this brought nothing degree murder or manslaughter — just saying it BULLSHITE.

  4. This dude needs to go to jail for MURDER AND I HOPE THE FAMILY SUES HIM FOR EVERYTHING HE HAS…I HAVE NOT AN OUNCE OF SYMPATHY FOR HIM…..BAD DECISIONS BUT YOU MADE THEM DUDE…NOW YOU NEED TO PAY…..TOO BAD WE DO NOT EYE FOR EYE IN THIS COUNTRY…BE INTERESTING TO SEE YOU BURN TO DEATH WHILE STILL ALIVE AND SCREAMING FOR HELP

  5. So he needs his space , his time , our love. Things happen ! Yeah things happen when you decide to drive drunk. A woman burned to death. All because some pro sport player thinks he’s Gods gift to the world. I don’t feel sympathy for any drunk driver. I do feel sorry for the family and OMG what the poor woman had to go through. Funny when someone murders someone with a gun every democrat wants to hold gun manufacturers liable. So why aren’t they trying to hold alcohol makers liable for the deaths they cause. I’m sure there’s a lot more of them across the country than shooting deaths. How ever in democrat cities like Chicago, NYC, Seattle, LA,SF, ect. There probably could be a equal amount.
