Jeremy Renner’s injuries from his freak snowplow accident are “worse than anyone knows” and could require two years to fully heal, according to a new report.

The Marvel actor suffered critical injuries in the New Year’s Day incident in which he was run over by the heavy-duty machinery near his Reno, Nevada, home.

Renner was airlifted to the hospital for “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries,” according to a statement from his representative.

Renner, 52, has been hospitalized for two weeks and has undergone multiple surgeries after the tragic accident that reportedly crushed his leg, among other injuries.

According to a 911 log obtained by TMZ, the right side of Renner’s chest collapsed as his upper torso was also crushed by the vehicle when it ran over him as he was trying to jump back into the cab to stop it from rolling.

A source told Radar Online, “It’s much worse than anyone knows.  Jeremy is very aware of the fact that he almost died out there.”

“Word is the damage to Jeremy’s chest was so substantial, it had to be reconstructed in surgery,” another unidentified source reportedly said.

“So far, he’s had two surgeries and he will likely require more in the weeks ahead on his leg,” a source said last week, according to Radar Online. “Doctors tend to space out operations to allow time for the body’s natural healing process to kick in, and that’s the case here.”

Renner has now reportedly been dismissed from the hospital and is recovering at home, although insiders are speculating it could take up to two years for him to fully recover from his injuries.

Responding to a Twitter post about the season premiere of his show Mayor of Kingstown, Renner tweeted Monday night, “Outside my brain fog in recovery, I was very excited to watch episode 201 with my family at home 🙏❤️🙏.”

On Jan. 3, Renner posted a selfie from his hospital bed, and wrote, “Thank you all for your kind words. 🙏. Im too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all.”
