Anthony Fauci on Sunday said Sen. Ron Johnson’s (R-Wis.) comments that the infectious disease expert “overhyped” the AIDS epidemic and the COVID-19 pandemic are “preposterous,” adding “I don’t have any clue of what he’s talking about.”

Asked about Johnson’s comments by co-host Jake Tapper on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Fauci said he did not know how to respond to such a remark considering the high death tolls caused by both AIDS and COVID-19.

The article goes on to state the following:

“How do you respond to something as preposterous as that? Overhyping AIDS, its killed over 750,000 Americans and 36 million people worldwide. How do you overhype that? Overhyping COVID, It’s already killed 780,000 Americans and over 5 million people worldwide,” Fauci said.

WATCH:

Fauci was responding the Johnson’s claim on “The Brian Kilmeade Show” Wednesday, insisting that Fauci “did the same exact thing with AIDS. He overhyped it.”

Dr. Fauci has faced a wide range of criticism for his actions during the AIDS epidemic. Specifically for promoting theories about “the possibility that routine close contact, as within a family household, can spread the disease,” back in May 1983, according to the American Institute of Economic Research.

The institute noted that Fauci’s theory sounded the alarm throughout news outlets, as “the media went to work stoking alarm about AIDS transmission through simple routine contacts. Hundreds of newspapers disseminated the distressing theory from Fauci’s article.”

Social media users shared a clip of Fauci speaking to a media outlet about the AIDS epidemic, and spreading the same theory about “close contact.”

“He created all kinds of fear, saying it could infect the entire population when it couldn’t, and he’s doing, he’s using the exact same playbook with COVID: ignoring therapy, pushing a vaccine,” Johnson said Wednesday.

“The solution to this I’ve always felt was early treatment,” he added. “We still haven’t robustly explored that and that’s a travesty.”

  1. I was stationed in PR when more was being found out about AIDS. Had no clue he was that involved during that time since cable didn’t exist on the island yet and all stations on TV showed only Spanish speaking news. All you had was some training on it done my the hospital who sent medical people to individual commands to lecture us on it. By the time I transferred to the states the Navy was discharging people with AIDS with 100% disability because they were close to death. Since I worked in Personnel it was my job to process these types of separations. The young woman who was processing these types of discharges was transferring so I had to take over for her. Now I know why she told me never to let anyone I’m separating with AIDS use my pen when they have to sign paperwork. I ignored her because it totally went against everything I had learned from all those lectures in PR

I totally understand now why Johnson brought this up. Fauci got it all wrong with AIDS so why should we take his word on everything with COVID. Like why haven’t I gotten COVID. I’m on two drugs for my Rheumatoid Arthritis. One puts my immune system into suppression and the other kills rapidly dividing cells in my body. I’m very high risk and here they aren’t strict on masks. Why haven’t I gotten it yet.

  2. Fauci got absolutely nothing wrong. He was the one that created the HIV that was that was first introduced in Africa as an experiment. He was the one Who was responsible for Covid. These experimental drugs where used to kill as many as possible And most people receive the shots in for Faith. This Covid and all these variance are being used against the people to control them and to take over our nation and the world. Fauci should hang in the public square.

  3. Fauci alone caused people to be afraid of gay people during the 80’s…..afraid to touch anything they did, afraid to stand near a gay person, afraid of them in general! He intentionally misled everyone on the planet, just as he is doing now! Why would anyone believe a single word coming from his mouth??? He is a freakin’ joke!

  4. Fauci cares about one thing, no matter what lie he spews he only cares about 💰. I really like the idea of him hanging in a public square
