Moments from tragedy, this never-before-seen footage shows the golf cart carrying newlyweds Aric and Samantha Hutchinson in the final stretch of a night now infamous for the devastating crash that claimed her life just minutes later.
Surveillance footage from the road on which the crash took place, obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com, shows the golf cart carrying the bride and groom and two other family members.
They pass by a house on Folly Island’s East Ashley Avenue as they return from Hutchinson, 36, and Samantha’s wedding reception, at approximately 10.11pm on April 28.
The couple had just been married hours earlier, and had posed for wedding photos and danced at their wedding reception with family and friends.
In the chilling surveillance footage, the golf cart carrying the couple is seen driving by. The Daily Mail explains:
Aric’s brother-in-law Benjamin Garrett was driving the golf cart with his young son, Brogan, sitting beside him in the passenger seat. Aric and his bride rode behind.
Just two minutes later, a car driven by Jamie Lee Komoroski, 25, speeds by at an estimated 65mph in the 25mph zone. Police later said she had more than three times the legal alcohol limit in her system.
Flashing police lights are then seen driving by in the same surveillance video, and an ambulance is later seen driving away.
Samantha, 28, was killed in the crash, and her new husband, his brother-in-law and nephew were all seriously injured.
