Gov. Chris Sununu (R-NH) confirmed during a television interview Sunday that he is considering running for president in 2024.

Sununu appeared on CNN’s State of the Union with Dana Bash, who brought up an University of New Hampshire poll that had the governor at 4% among other Republican candidates like Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and former President Donald Trump. The Republican governor noted he was surprised he was on that poll at all. Bash asked Sununu if he has a deadline for when he’ll officially announce his candidacy.

“I really don’t have a timeline,” Sununu admitted. “I’m spending a lot of time nationally trying to grow the party as Republicans. Talk to independents, talk to the next generation of potential Republican voters that right now no one is really reaching out to.” He went on to say he expects others will announce their respective candidacies this spring and summer.

The governor also admitted DeSantis would “wihtout a doubt” win his state. Meanwhile, according to Sununu, Trump failed to impress a crowd he addressed in New Hampshire.

  1. The f…ing tin hatters don’t know one of best governors in country. He is right up there with DeSantis Noem and Kemp. Who by the way won re-election easily while a Trumper pissed away another winnable Senate seat.

    • The reason nobody knows if Sununu is a great governor is because he’s never taken on a big issue. He’s come on Fox a few times but it seems always to trash Trump. As far as New Hampshire goes, it’s too small to have any major issues. That great for the people who live there but not so great for preparing a governor to run a country. I’d say the same for Noem. DiSantis has been more properly prepared. Trump more so than any of them in that he already was a very successful President in spite of the efforts of the Washington establishment trying to frame him and cripple him with baseless investigations and impeachments. This country has major problems including being at risk for a major nuclear war. All of these problems have been inflicted on us by the political establishment that Sununu represents. No thank you Governors, I’ll be supporting Trump.

  2. Does he come from a entrenched establishment political family. I would say no, we been there done that nothing ever changes, they put the political class interests before the people .
