A reporter pressed White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on the Los Angeles Dodgers’ decision to re-invite an anti-Catholic group to their Pride event.

The Dodgers initially disinvited an anti-Catholic group called the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” (SPI) from their list of honorees after receiving backlash from Republican Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Catholic organizations. The group describes itself as a “leading-edge Order of queer and trans nuns” who often depict Jesus and nuns in a sexualized manner to mock Catholics.

“The president is Catholic, we all know. What is his reaction to this?” EWTN reporter Owen Jenson asked.

Jean-Pierre replied, “Look, I appreciate the question, Owen. I’m just not going to get into the middle of who a sports team is going to honor, or should honor or should not honor. That’s just not something that I’m going to get in the middle of.”

Jenson persisted, “It’s very important to him [Biden], religious freedom. He’s issued statements on it in the past saying all people of all religions should be treated with equal dignity and respect. I know you’ve just said you’ll stay out of but isn’t this a prime example of something like that?”

She responded, “I’m just not going to get into the middle of a sports team decides to honor or not honor. I’m just not going to get in the middle of that, but I appreciate the question.”

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence tweeted Tuesday, “The Los Angeles Dodgers are offering their apologies and re-inviting the LA Sisters to be honored at their Pride Night. Please see the official comms from the Dodgers, and the LA Sisters. Love always win!”

Blaze host Chad Prather said, “The Dodgers have re-invited the drag queen group known as The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. THIS IS A GROUP THAT MOCKS CHRISTIANS!!!!”

  1. This is the sickest thing I have ever heard of !!! So the queer are proving that being queer is to show the whole world of straight people that queer are perverts, unholy and very mentally people !!! I am sorry why would a sports team want to celebrate that just a company or organization that needs to be boycotted

  2. This whole situation with the Dodgers is not surprising.

We have a so-called Catholic White House resident, a former so-called Catholic speaker of the house among others who totally abandon their faith doctrines. They fuel the agendas that abandon faith doctrines and tell the country it’s all good. The vulnerable in society latch on to the ‘permissions’. The end result is ‘anything goes’ and morality has no purpose.

As a Catholic myself I am appalled by all that has transpired. I have to firmly believe that good will eventually overcome the evil otherwise the outlook is dismal. I only hope it’s sooner rather than later.
