Actor Jon Voight, a conservative and longtime supporter of former President Donald Trump, posted a moving video message to social media on Saturday, in response to Texas school shooting this week.

Voight paid tribute to the 19 students and two teachers who were slain in the horrific massacre at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas on Tuesday, and also warned that Americans must not let mental illness take away our Second Amendment rights.

“Oh how my heart bleeds for all those lost. We must do something about these horrors that are taken out on innocent beings… they’ve been taken down by insanity,” he warned.

“It’s not about left and right, or guns and no guns… this is about brains that are dysfunctioning, this is mental… this is not about healthy human beings serving the country with arms to bear or even the right of this Constitution for bearing arms. It is a right to use arms with proper purpose to defend one’s safety. We must not allow mental illness to take away the right to bear arms,” he warned.

“My fellow Americans, we’re living in a world that has no remorse for wrongdoings, because we’re being led by the worst in office,” Voight said.

He called for proper qualifications for gun ownership, and proper testing.

  1. I think we may have just found the anonymous source who offered to cover all of the funeral costs of the victims in Texas.

  2. Wow, what wonderful words spoken of understanding and prayers for those who are affected. Those beautiful angels are in heaven. RIZp 😢

  3. He’s such a good person, and his heart is in the right place. We must ALL fight for our freedoms, because as we know, there are those in this country who would shut down the 2nd Amendment in a heartbeat, for their own evil schemes !

  4. If that gunman wanted his name in the history books, he would have gotten better results if he would have visited the halls of Congress.
Oh yes! Congress has massive security to protect to the massive collection of fools, morons, and plain idiots that inhabit the place.
The children? Well, they don’t vote, and they don’t contribute to their war chest. So; they don’t really count.
I think all Washington needs the mental evaluation. Before and during their terms in office.
Because most of them are ate up with STUPID!

  5. John Voight is a terrific man his stance on life and character and liberty are unparalleled. Bless him.and he’s 100% right
