Sheriff’s deputies in Seffner, Florida rescued a child from a burning house on Thursday night.

When Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at a home fully engulfed in flames at 10:48 p.m., neighbors were standing outside in the yard and yelled at the deputies, telling them that a child was still inside.

The article goes on to state the following:

Deputies then entered the home by breaking a glass window, finding a 9-year-old boy inside, according to the sheriff’s department.

Sheriff deputies Kevin Reich and Alexander Maldonado frantically yelled at the child through the smoke to come to the window, and even rushed over to another part of the house at one point, prepared to go inside the smoke-filled house if needed, while the other end of the home was completely engulfed in flames.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office posted body cam footage of the terrifying incident on Facebook Friday, along with the following statement:

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the small boy who suffered injuries in last night’s house fire in Seffner, FL.

We are grateful to the two Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies risked their lives to pull this young boy out of a smoke filled bedroom and through a window. You can see their heroic actions in this video!
