A Florida sheriff praised a homeowner for standing his ground and shooting an attempted home invader on Wednesday.

“The homeowner did exactly what he should have,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told WFLA-TV after a man in Lakeland, Florida shot an intruder in his home.

The article goes on to state the following:

“He had a gun, he knew how to use it, it was loaded, and he shot him a lot,” Judd said. “He gave him an early Christmas present. Only Santa Claus gets to come in your house — and Santa Claus is invited.”

The report explains that the intruder, later identified as 42-year-old Steven Stillwell, threw a flower pot through the glass french doors in order to enter the home from the back porch.

The homeowner then opened fire, shooting Stillwell three times. Police arrived and found Stillwell critically wounded on the living room floor and took him to the hospital. Criminal charges are pending against Stillwell, who has a lengthy criminal record.

“I’m proud of our homeowner for defending himself. It’s called a ‘Castle Doctrine.’ He has the right to protect himself and his home from unknown intruders,” Sheriff Judd declared.

Grady Judd: Santa’s Sheriff Elf on a Shelf Story

Everyone has heard of those elves who sit on shelves, keeping eyes on kiddos, and reporting their behavior back to Santa Claus.

But do you recall the most famous crime fighting elf of all?
Grady Judd, the Sheriff on a Shelf!

He does what the other shelf-dwelling elves do…watches over the children, making sure they’re nice not naughty, and sharing his intel with Saint Nick.

He does what other elves can’t do. He doesn’t have to move each day to different locations in your home. He doesn’t even have to go away when the Christmas tree gets tossed to the curb. Grady can hang out with you and the family all year round as a reminder of how children can be nice all year!

Grady Judd, the Sheriff on a Shelf will remind your offspring to be good 365 days of the year (366 days in leap years).

Who else needs the company of Sheriff Grady Elf? He’s perfect for:

The co-worker who can’t grasp the concept of the Honor-System Snack Box.

Or that guy at parties who frequently says, “Hold my beer and watch this.”

Grady Judd, The Sheriff on a Shelf… knows if you’ve been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake.

Merry Christmas!

The Castle Doctrine must never be removed, if it is, that marks the end of private property.

  2. This is what the 2nd
Amendment is all about the right to bear arms. Thank God Florida abides by the Constitution of the United States. These animals try to bust into my Business, House, and threaten my family and friends…I will defend myself with deadly force.
Maybe this will send a message to the scum bags. It’s Time to stand your ground against these POS Douche bags. Everywhere I go I carry a firearm. Because I can in Florida 🇺🇸
