Democratic New York Rep. Jamaal Bowman and Republican Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie got into a heated screaming match Wednesday evening in the halls of Congress over gun control.
The lawmakers were leaving after the House finished voting when Bowman ripped Republicans to a group of reporters.
“They’re all cowards! They won’t do anything to save the lives of our children. Cowards,” Bowman told reporters. “Question them. Force them to respond to the question, ‘why the hell don’t you do anything to save America’s children?’ And let them explain that all the way up until Election Day 2024.”
Bowman shouted at reporters, “They’re freaking cowards, they’re gutless.”
About that time, Massie walked in and asked Bowman what he was talking about.
Bowman yelled, “I’m talking about gun violence!”
Massie retorted, “You know, there’s never been a school shooting in a school that allows teachers to carry.”
Bowman pressed, “Carry guns? More guns lead to more death! Look at the data, you’re not looking at any data!”
The two kept going back and fourth with Bowman claiming that Massie was “carrying the water for the gun lobby.”

Massie wrote, “He wanted to discuss solutions to school shootings, but when I offered a solution he began shouting. When he asked for data, I gave him data, but then he just shouted more. Bring facts. There’s never been a school shooting in the hundreds of schools that allow staff to carry.”
