WAUKESHA, Wis. – Former President Donald Trump was in Waukesha on Friday, Aug. 5 to campaign for gubernatorial candidate Tim Michels.

Trump endorsed Michels, a U.S. Army veteran and construction company co-owner, in the race.

The article goes on to state the following:

“We hit it off fabulously. He’s a builder, I’m a builder. He’s an outsider, I’m an outsider. He’s a businessman, I’m a businessman – and that’s why he said, ‘Tim I’m going to endorse you,'” Michels said.

Former Vice President Mike Pence also paid a visit to the Badger State, but he threw his support behind former Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch (R).

Michels and Kleefisch are the current front runners in the Republican primary. The winner will face Democrat incumbent Gov. Tony Evers in the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 8.

On Monday, Michels fell short of offering support for Trump’s expected 2024 run for reelection as president. During a town hall event, he said:

“2024? I’m focused on this election right now.

“I have made no commitment to any candidates in 2024. What I am focused on is beating Tony Evers.”

Trump-backed candidate won’t commit to backing him

  1. President Trump was a victim of theft in 2020 and that makes American victims of theft! They stole the election and they will stop at nothing to make him disappear! He is a warrior and I say to those who spotlight his age, do we need him to run marathons, parachute out of fighter planes, deep sea dive for lost Americans? NO we don’t! We need his mind, his love for our country his abilities above all else!
