God is Great, America Needs Him

Today is my birthday, I am covering the need for God in our lives. Please share!
I. THE DML REPORT
WHEN HE IS ALL WE NEED
THE LOVE OF LIVING
My lovely wife Mary asked me two days ago, “What do you want to do for your birthday?” My sons asked me the same thing, but with an offer, “Dad, how about we play golf for your birthday?” My daughters asked me what I wanted for a gift. I told the family I don’t want to do anything today, and I don’t need a gift. I just want to chill out, and feel the love.
I Turn 55. It’s a Great Age.
I’ve never felt like this before. In one hand, I hold what little youth I have remaining. I can still walk 5-miles without losing my wind, I can play a round of golf without pain, and I can still dance with my wife. I thank God for all of it.
In the other hand, I see the grey hairs and wrinkles grow in a little more each day. I am turning the corner, age is winning the race, but I will not complain because I am so happy and lucky to be alive.
WISDOM
I saw a video on Instagram not long ago, a man was asked if he would rather have youth or wisdom. For me, the answer is wisdom.
From an age perspective, I know I am on the other side of the hill, but my wisdom says the best part of my life — my future — is ready to soar. If I have my way, if I play it smart by eating healthy, getting sleep, exercising, staying positive, and praying to God, I will live another 40 years.
Whether I am right or wrong in terms of how much time I have, one thing is for certain: I want to live and love each day like it was my last because one of these days it will be.
NEWS & POLITICS vs The GIFT of LIFE
In my business it is really hard to remain positive, and sometimes it feels impossible to find love amid all the horror we report on each day. And this is why it is important that we all step away from it now and then — like I am today. This life is so much bigger than a policy decision, a breaking news headline, or a critical vote. We have to remember the beauty of life is a gift, and each day we live is a gift. So, no matter how hard and ugly it becomes, we must never reject or neglect the gift of life.
FOR THE LOVE of AMERICA
This morning I sat outside on my balcony, like I do every morning, and I thanked God for all I have. I thanked Him for who I am. Without Him, I would have nothing, I would be nothing. Part of what He has given me is America. Thus, this morning, I promised God that I will do all I can, even at 55, to help our nation improve because I love America.
I never imagined our beloved country would be in so much trouble. But instead of drawing the picture of gloom and doom today, I want to share a few last paragraphs of hope and encouragement.
A GREAT NATION. A GREAT LIFE.
Despite our problems as a nation, and aside from the evil people who want to see our less-than-perfect country fall into the abyss, we have it pretty dang good as Americans. Truth is, our freedoms are always under attack, BUT, our freedoms still remain in place. Therefore, we must never overlook the blessings of being an American, nor the importance of our great nation’s survival.
I believe God brought America to life long ago because he wanted us to provide a compass for the world to follow. Sadly, for some reason, the majority of Americans ignore this opportunity — and in doing so they ignore God. And so on this day, I will spend it praying, meditating, and dreaming of a tomorrow that is better than yesterday. I will let God know, through the sharing of my love and positive thoughts, that I am not one of those people who overlook the gift of life, nor the gift of America. Thus, I use my newsletter today as a reminder to you, and to the droves of people who read it, to remember what is most important.
I urge you to take a moment, thank God for who you are and what you have, and then share your love with someone — share the blessings that God has given us.
Today, lets all try to remain positive and think of all the good we have as Americans. Tell everyone you see that we are blessed as a country. Tell them America is precious, and it is worth fighting for even though we should never raise a fist.
LIGHT YOUR FIRE
Like me, there is a fire inside of you. God put it there for us. It’s designed to inspire us to share love, and to share happiness and faith in such a way that evil cannot prevail. Today, we should all allow our minds, hearts, souls and bodies to take a much needed rest from the negativity. Lets recharge, knowing the Lord is with us at each and every moment. I hope you will join me in staying off social media today, ignoring the news feeds, and just focus on being happy, sharing love, and being grateful.
